how was your experience last saturday?

mine was quiet pleasant, met a couple (parents of my dd’s classmate at BPMC kindergarten)… they were very gracious and even gave us a ride home…

also bought 3 sets of uniform, stationeries, books ==> almost 300 sgd all in all, including the 35sgd orientation fee…

dd is also relieved to know what there is at least 1 familiar face in her class (current classmate at BPMC)…

some of my pinoy friends also told me that it is \"more expensive\" in CHIJ.. but really I do not know what to say..

        I searched via MOE..

        http://www.moe.gov.sg/media/press/2012/06/adjustments-in-school-fees-2013.php

        Free for SCs
90 sgd per month for PRs
350 sgd per month for IS
confirmed that the school fee for CHIJ is the same as other public shools..

PRs will have to pay 90 sgd per month (last year PRs pay only 40 sgd per month). still free for SCs

Would like to know why is there a $35 orientation fee?

It's not for the orientation program. It's for the following:

              1) Report Book $2.80
              2) Name Tags $6
              3) Holistic Portfolio, Buddy Cards, Induction Booklet, information Folder, School Diary $11.20
              4) Subscription Fee for Moo-O account $15

yes I did, $96 sgd/month even if our house is just behind Rail Mall (less than 1 km)... but I really have to..

I also have to check the books again, honestly I also dont know whether all these books will be used.. I thought it will be covered during the orientation..

Ya, my friend was telling me books like music n art nvr use at all. But they still want us to buy.

According to the vp, first two days no lesson so don need to bring books rite?

So, the nametag will be given at the first day of school?

I went late to get the uniform so don have het size, end up buying a bigger size for her…
