Thanks double E, I guess you are right. Yup, I suspect he doesn’t like the social class coz he’s forced to speak up. Actually I’m surprise that some kids can emerge the assessment as spectrum free. I assume all kids or at least most, would be on the spectrum. The most they will diagnose as PDD
Helplessmum, he’s 5. -
Double E:
Hmmm, but Helplessmum, your son hasn't really gone through formal therapy sessions and u want to start him on neurofeedback? I hope you don't see this as a short cut. Why not u see how he progress first after starting Rainbow and whether he still needs neurofeedback by then?
oops, maybe i still dont understand this. i tot is like a checkup how good or how bad he is..

Yes, I am surprised too and used to be hopeful that my boy may turn out clean after all. But now, I have cast away the hope because he has repetitive behaviour which one of the boys that I mentioned didn’t have. So I guess that is the difference. If your boy does not have repetitive behaviour, I suppose there’s still a chance for him not being ASD. -
What is repitative behavior ? I KEEP seeing this sentence in google, but i cant figure out what are this.
what is your son repitative behaviour? -
Gavin ong more popular in Singapore ?

Autism - Repetitive Behaviors -
Today spoke to my son’s new teacher in his CC. She just joined like 2 months ago and I spoke to her about my son. She say my son now talks more and he actually can read all the words in her reading list. Finally he has a good teacher in the NT environment.
His prev teachers, I told them that my son can read very well, can use scissors, can do matching and worksheets. The prev teachers doesn’t know he can do that. And when he cut out the shapes with scissors nicely, and match the animals feet to their heads in the worksheets, they were like "Wow he can actually do that, he knows leh".
I was like OMG, my son is ASD, but he is not dumb leh.I think the teachers doesnt know what ASD is… sad but true… Praying hard he keep meeting good teachers along the way. -
I think most people’s idea of asd is the more severe type. I always thought asd is being completely withdrawn, cannot talk, cannot respond etc. That’s why I was shocked when the development dr suggested sending my boy for assessment. So can’t blame their reaction, as you say, it’s lack of understanding.
