I thought you have a few cases to illustrate, went into your blog to see only one FDW listed.

      Are you an Indian?
      Hope you can share more.

Having Indian FDW is becoming a 'can-try' because Philipines and Indonesia embassies are getting too 无法无天 唯恐天下不乱 自私自利
They fought so hard in this little red dot for these and that yet refused to pay similiar to their own people!! Thought Sg employers are ATM machines? 😓
Really hope MOM can get more good and Value$ source countries.
Employers forked our huge amount of agency fee yet agency has nothing to bear, so unfair! Went to Nxxxxx, was quoted S$1688 :siam: Cheapest $488. Most in the range of $688 to $988.

Myanmar is ok if their people can read and understand simple English. Want employers pay $420 for fresh maids, they should send M-maid for English lessons before stepping into Sg. One chick and one duck, how to communicate? Draw??

Don't be surprise M-maid come in with mobiles and hugging them 24/7. Where they got the money, guess lor. Some just want a free holiday, have some cash on hand. Are they really in need of the income, obviously no!! One M-maid that I've interviewed told me she needed the phone to speak to her mum and sisters (working in Sg) to ask how to carry out chores. I said you don't know anything, should check with employer, ask her, not somebody else not living in the same house. You believe such lies? Since mobile is a must, she said not keen to work. Told M-maid, you can chat as long as you like during off days, use too much mobile will waste money, she said no need, got free incoming calls .... so who pays for subscription or card? Not her? Some nice man? Can't be employer right?

Sg employers are made to be ATM machines by MOM. Sucked our $$ as levy and then shake legs. Refused to see how much we've suffered.

      Pay and Pay

Indo maid cost more. Nowadays, I don't think agency fee is cheap, cost close to $1000 or above. If you like this nationality, prepare to pay more.

Now both Indonesian and Philip maids cost the same. There is also no more FREE replacement now. If yr maid is a wrong fit and you want to transfer her out, employer need to pay for new maid. Agencies are NOT allowed to add 2 months loan onto transfer maid. If discovered the embassy will bar them from supplying anymore maids. The rules has changed.

I have spoken to maid insurance, there is refund if your maid work for the employer less than certain period of time. So, call up the maid insurance to find out more on the refund policy.

I think not all agencies. My maid agency still provides unlimited replacement within a year.

Unlimited replacement for indo maid?? Quite unlikely leh?? With the new system even if the agent fee is free you still have to fork out $800 plus for the loan thingy.. If have such maid agency providing free replacement chances are they are still using the old system which is illegal when found out by the indo embassy...

Agree with bigsnoopy but it may be because its Myanmar maid. It’s good that we share. At least as employers we must be well informed.

Hi,when did this regulation come about? If I had signed the contract with the maid agency in Dec last year and it promised free replacement, can I still get my replacement for free? Need your help. Thanks.

Hi sweetjoy, you may wish to check with yr agency instead. We can’t advise you because we do not know the contents in the contract. Technically since you sign the contract last year, you shouldn’t be affected unless the agency choose not to honour their word. Or they may want to honour but can’t get the supply in for you. They may encourage u to choose another nationality. So to be sure it’s best you read the contract again and check with yr agent.

I m just wondering if you signed last year, that means the maid is with you for close to one year? Why would u want to change? Do u know my maid has been throwing away my food and I m still keeping her? Supply is very low now. Alot of maid are waiting to come in next year so that they can enjoy 4 off days. You may wish to think about it thoroughly. If the challenges are not that great, try talking to yr maid on every pay day until it gets in.
