Hmm I have a classmate who once in a while takes the bus after school. I'll be dead honest, I've no idea if it's school bus or not, but not public bus since she always rushes for the bus when she takes it(I think it's school bus in fact.)

Yes my daughter does that too. : ) But need to inform the school bus Aunty ahead of time, otherwise the bus is full.

Once my daughter was late (during primary school), the school bus uncle & aunty went to pick another little girl and then came back to pick my daughter. I appreciate their kind gesture.

For me if she is good, I will extend her wp. Renew fee is $30 online. You need to buy insurance with refundable. I bought 1 year from AVA insurance $172, if cancel wp < 3 months, refund is 70%. SHC insurance is about $135 but not refundable. I just did this for my good helper. She could only work a month and she will go home to read her degree.

2) let her go agency and wait for prospective employer but need to pay $10 for lodging per day.

My 1st payment was about $1500 which includes agency fees, insurance, medical check up and all the paperwork. When collecting my maid, I paid another $2.5K I think. All in all I paid about $4K. My maid will still be getting a minimal salary which comprise mainly the reimbursement of the off days. She will be getting her full pay only after the 8th month.

Same here. All in all I paid about $4k for my new Indo maid. Agency fee is $1288, need to pay insurance and SIP. My 1st payment was about $2500. When I picked up my maid, I paid another $1.4k. She will get $240 for 1st 8 months and after that she will get her full pay.

Great to hear that! The MOM officer whom I spoke to yesterday is not so helpful. Still tell me I cannot do iSubmit due to the transfer maid condition. She said I can only do iSubmit on the condition if passport or medical report is not ready... :scratchhead:

Finally the old maid's WP is approved! The new agency did the issuance and she said there is no overstay fine :rahrah:

I also called up MOM this morning and the officer just told me I will have to bear the overstay fine if the new maid's work permit is not submitted online tomorrow but she refused to tell me how much, only said between $100-500, subjected to the length of overstay.

So I called my old agency and chased and said if not transferred out from my name, will cancel the work permit in the evening. A few hours later, the old agency called and said they have transferred her from my name.

I dont bother where they send her since it was done by them in the system...as long as can transfer out and apply for the new maid's work permit, i am relieved..

Pinkybear, hope your case will be resolved tomorrow too since Thurs and Fri are public holidays and they cannot apply online on these dates while MOM still counted the public holidays into the overstaying...

I found a MOM officer who is very helpful. She said I will not subject to the overstay fine and the IPA will not be revoked.
The IPA will be revoked in the 3rd week of Aug. What a reflief! I think my iSubmit got approved.

I can only cancel her WP at 5pm tomorrow accordingly to the old agency, they need 1 more day to buy medical insurance.
I will go to the old agency to collect all my refund and also the levy fee incur to me.

By the way, is today your 21st day or the 14th day deadline?
Understand from chixchix's post earlier MOM has an unspoken grace period of 7 days..
My old agency told me if he cannot resolve today, he will proceed to cancel for me and send my previous maid to Malaysia on social pass for the time being. Hopefully he really does it but it's already 4pm now and still never hear from him :stompfeet:

Today is the 14th day of my new maid's arrival. I called up MOM, different officer said different things to me. I asked when will the IPA expire. Is it really 14 days after arrival? One even said you should check with your agency, since you paid them for such service. The rest said 5 Aug is the last day, I will need to pay overstay fine but not sure how long is the grace period given by the review officer.

My old agency told me it is illegal to bring the maid to Malaysia. She would not do this.

My new agency said I should collect cash from the old agency... what if they went back their words. I went down to the old agency and demanded them to pay cash in advance for the overstay fine. I said by tomorrow if the new WP is still not approved, they need to transfer the maid to their names. They agreed.

Then the old maid saw me and said \"Hi Madam, please send my regards to Grandma\". I am :mad: She only worked for three weeks and want to change employer. She said she did not know it's 3 storey house. She is working with my other maid. :stupid:

Yes I wrote a detailed story in the document and attached in iSubmit. The file must be in pdf.
There is no part 2. Just fill up in iSubmit - Your Particulars, Your Work Particulars, Your Message and attach a pdf file.

I hope tomorrow this issue will end. It's either approved or transfer the maid's name to the old agency.
