If you want to be safe, get it from major departmental store or supermarkets. I got my happycall at NTUC at $99.90. Have try to cook salmon, veggie & beancurd with it. The kids love it.

It comes with a user guide. Only use low flame to get optimum cooking result.

The oil comes from the salmon.. salmon will produce a lot of oil..

did you open during cooking? if you open, the oil will drip onto the drain. And if you flip afterwards.. the oil will be all over the place. you try not opening the cover during cooking and see how? of cause.. it needs getting used to.. need to estimate the timing..

oh... i think u just hit the nail on the head!
yes, i open during cooking to check on the \"doneness\", and i flip, and after a few minutes will open again the check on the \"doneness\" on the other side...

and will repeat a few times if not cooked....

ya, that's probably why my oil drips over my stove, and my kitchen seems oily...
but how to estimate? surely must open to check right?
the size of fish or type of meat we cook is different each time ...
or should I switch off the gas , then open and check? but the food in pan still
sizzles right after switching off leh...

I bought the deep grill pan for fish from NTUC at $99. I used it to fried salmon fish, veggie & beancurd. There is an oil trap at the lower pan. Btw, NTUC also carry an imitation look a like at much cheaper price. Is yours a genuine product?

Are the happy call pans at NTUC the authentic ones? How do the prices compare with the ones from gmart?

Me too, it is really heavy and I stopped using it. Reverted to my teflon pans for convenience.
