would anyone know if the girls get to stay in the same class if they are promoted to P2? Which is the top class in P2 this year? Any ranking?

Pri Admission Tests 16 Jan 2010
Details of Admission Tests
Levels which test will be administered:
Primary 1 (2010)
Date of test:Sat, 16 Jan 2010

Deadline for submission of the ”Application for Admission Test” form is on Wed, 6 Jan 2010 by 5 pm. Late applications will not be accepted.

Time:9.45 am – 12.30 pm
Reporting time for Registration:9.00 am

Item required for registration:
A photo ID (EZ-link card or passport)

Items required for test:
Photo ID, stationery & snacks/water

Subjects to be tested:
English Language, Mathematics, Mother Tongue (except for pupils who have obtained exemption from Mother Tongue from MOE)

Duration of each paper:
45 min for each (followed by a short break in between papers).

Payment:
Singapore citizens are to pay an administrative fee of $25/- per applicant.

She's taking higher chinese. the PSLE is next year, so, I am also quite nervous for her. :roll: Oh, i heard that they have raise the cut-off point for the primary school girls to get into the secondary school. It is 210. Then, for the p4s,(this year), it will be 220. I also wonder what is the highest scorer in SCGS! :? Can someone please tell me? Thanks alot! Are they changing the pri vice principal?

Hi, my girl will be in P1 next week.

Yes, they are changing the pri vice principal. (The pri. principal mentioned this during the P1 orientation).
My worry is that they may increase the cut-off point further by the time my girl in P6 in 2015. My friend has a daughter in MGS and told me that about two classes can't make it for their secondary school with their cut -off point (I think about 220 or 230). I am also very anxious to know the PSLE result for SCGS and how many students can't make it for the SCGS secondary.

They used to public their PSLE result in SCGS website but not anymore now and have no clue where to get the results.

Anyone here can help?

Still can't find 2009 Primary 6 pupils' PSLE result but managed to find entry point for 2008 Primary 6 pupils.

From experience usually there are a handful who do not make it back. My girl tells me this year a handful did not make it back; however most already knew that before PSLE because they did badly in the mocks in at least 1 subject. When the school raises it to 210 next year, my guess - going by previous years' scores - is that the number will go up to a significant number, maybe half a class, because the 200 - 220 number is quite large.

By the way, if she is intending on going back to SCGS, then maybe she wants to consider whether to continue spending the time on higher chinese, which is not counted.

SCGS is changing, and not for the better I feel....
