Hi ftwmum,Hi Dino
We \"spoke\" briefly afew mths back.
Me staying at Telok Blangah Heights. I think I stand higher chance with Gan Eng Seng since it is 1-2km. A friend recommended ZDPS because she found the after school care \"very nice\". But if Im 1-2 km away from ZDPS I dont stand a chance right gog by this year's registration records?
I need after school care for my DS.
Sorry to side track abit, can anyone recommend me a after school student care ctr in the Bt Merah/Telok Blangah area? I know of one at the Telok Blangah Drive CC that's all....
Thank u
Ya, basing on this yr's registration pattern, even those within 1km of ZDPS experience fiecre competition.
sorry but I don't have any ideas abt good aftercare in the area as well.
Maybe someone else can recommend...... -

Blangah Rise Primary is all the time not popular since from 2000 which was almost a decade. :yikes:Anjuem:
Anybody has any feedback about Blangah Rise Primary School??..good or bad please..
It seems to be the least popular school in the Bukit Merah estate if you were to base on the last P1 registration that had just ended. -

I believe what you want is on the 1st page of this topic. Go to the top right hand corner, you will see the pages and click page 1, the 2012 stats are there. -

QMS :- Im looking at RMPS, as my mum is staying in Bt P(within 1km), while I stay in Depot Rd(within 2km); so alil KS tot opt for my mumβs addr(for caretaker) and also do PV. -

When will you be registering for your child? If your profile is correct, you should be registering your child in 2014, right?
Please note that, should you decide to go by the caregiver route, your child will be in the 1-2 km category, even if your mother stays next to the school.
This year, there was balloting in P2B for SCs. It was like 25 vying for 24 places, if I am not wrong. -
QMS, thanks, ya mine was a 08 year-end kid n registering 2014(called n emailed(b&w) to RMPS; their PV will open nxt year 3 Jan).
Does it mean tat be it using caregiver or PV also the same phase ? so no point doing both ? Pieseh, abit confused w all d phases. N we r all SCs

PV allows you to be in P2B, given current policies. Whether you are using your own address or caregiver's address determines the distance category your child will be in. Hence, these two are different.
Let's take your case, for instance. You are a PV who have fulfilled the requirements. Your child thus qualifies under P2B in the 1-2 km category if you go by the caregiver route. Based on this year's statistics, there was balloting in P2B for SCs in the 1-2 km category. There is still a possibility that you child will be balloted in successfully.
If you don't apply to be a PV, your child will fall under P2C. Your child will still be in the 1-2 km category. However, based on past balloting statistics, children in the 1-2 km category do not even have a chance to participate in the balloting in P2C. So, your child's chance of getting into the school is as good as zero.
Actually, there is no difference whether you are going by the caregiver route or using your own address in the application, since you stay within 2 km from the school. Either way, your child will be in the 1-2 km category.
