        Hi,

Hypnosis is a powerful tool for changing the way we think, feel and do.
Generally children from ages two- to about 10- years-old drift in and out of hypnotic states.
In education, it is being used to help children to focus, concentrate and overcome anxiety.
In clinical settings, it is being used in many adjunct ways in helping children cope with iilness and disease, including managing pain and their emotions.

Here's an overview of hypnosis for children in the context of education.
        http://www.wellness-institute.org/images/Journal14-2Stanton.pdf

You can use Google Scholar to find other reputable studies on the use of hypnosis.

Personally I have helped some children using hypnosis with good results. One 10-year-old child who hated Chinese who surprised his mum by asking her to drill him the next day on Chinese words. Another who wanted to overcome exam stress and feel confident about going into the exam hall. Yet another 12-year-old who wanted to have focused attention. who ended up learning a technique so that she could trigger a period of focused attention.
The only caveat with hypnosis is that the client (ie the child) must want to change.
But best to get it from other parents' mouth. ๐Ÿ˜„

        Best regards

                    Hi

                    It cost $200 per session.
I was not with my son during the therapy.
The therapist will play some \"mind talking\" with him and my son expressed that he felt \"very light\" after each session.

After each session, the therapist will explain to us why the child behaves in this manner and how to overcome his fear or anxious.

She told us that the child must have the willingness to do better if not she also cannot help him to overcome it.

I shall share more details after he completed the 8 sessions therapy.
Many of friends think I'm CRAZY to pay this much for the therapy...but when you see your child being \"lost\" and giving-up his studies ( example: leaving blank in test papers and restless) , you will know how I feel.

                    :celebrate:

hm... what I know about hypnosis is that to hypnothize kids, the guardian has to be there (but seated very far behind) to view.
Or at least there's a video camera switched on or a CCTV.
                    :siao:
Even for adults, to protect both sides, there should be some kind of glass as a barrier.
