      Just a note of caution.

If go to any medium/fs master etc, always always make sure one or 2 trustable relatives/friends/colleagues are 100% of the time with you.
If you go there coz of your kids, be sure to be 100% with your kids.

Be it man or woman, must always know self- protection.

Just my 2 cents worth of opinion.

When u say put the glass of water at the edge of the room, can it be at the entrance of the room where the thing walk in & out? Must the glass be full or half filled with water ?

How much water must go down? Bec water can also evaporate on its own.

ya man. I'm curious about this and have the same Qs too.

      And must cover the water?

Maybe the aborted babies are kept by those who use them as helpers or what will not grow up…

But those who moved to the other world do grow up.

There’ a temple at Tanjong Pagar that does a lot of those special marriages. It came out in the newspaper some years ago and the TVs also had programs on it.

      Gooby:

Authumni76, you have special talent. Can communicate with these special forces. What you saw was also hei bai wu chang. Lucky nothing happen. Seems like you have a guardian angel that is always protecting you leh.
but I am unable to do all these anymore since a few years ago. Maybe I'm too old for that now. LOL.
I can only tell if the air is stagnant and need some cleansing.

I forgot hei bai wu chang are actually gods, when the incidents happened.
The thing is, by right, my religion is such that we are freed from them. Maybe they are just updating their record books.... hm...

The guardian angel's really helpful. Used to help me spot exam questions, even for my 'O' levels. And helped me get into the diploma course which I like a lot. 😉
But for the past few years, the angel's shut down almost completely. Perhaps I've been too busy working to even hear the advices given.

    • RE: Children Hypnotherapy, anyone knows about this?

      sally72:
      Hi

      It cost $200 per session.
I was not with my son during the therapy.
The therapist will play some \"mind talking\" with him and my son expressed that he felt \"very light\" after each session.

After each session, the therapist will explain to us why the child behaves in this manner and how to overcome his fear or anxious.

She told us that the child must have the willingness to do better if not she also cannot help him to overcome it.

I shall share more details after he completed the 8 sessions therapy.
Many of friends think I'm CRAZY to pay this much for the therapy...but when you see your child being \"lost\" and giving-up his studies ( example: leaving blank in test papers and restless) , you will know how I feel.

      :celebrate:

hm... what I know about hypnosis is that to hypnothize kids, the guardian has to be there (but seated very far behind) to view.
Or at least there's a video camera switched on or a CCTV.
      :siao:
Even for adults, to protect both sides, there should be some kind of glass as a barrier.

    • RE: Will passionate teachers be gone?

      chenwj:
I am only concerned with those who joined the teaching profession simply because they think it is a iron rice bowl, especially in the current uncertainty in the market and private sector.

That's not true. Teaching is not an iron rice bowl.

      Teachers are graded - A, B, C, D, E.

A and B are usually reserved for the top position people.

      C,D,E are for teachers.

For meeting the minimum requirement, teachers are graded between C+ to C-.

Those who get D will be monitored very closely...

Those who get E will have about 1 year plus of chance and if improvement is still not seen, the officer will be asked to leave.

Then again, as I've always told my friends. Some teachers teach very well yet they get a D grade simply because they didn't initiate any projects that bring huge impact at the school or zonal level...

Some extraordinary teachers scored a B- could be those who did something very major e.g. bring up the school's reputation. But the same teachers could be those whose pupils are flunking their exams.

Then again, those who scored very good grades could also mean they initiated projects AND teach well.

Anyway, you need to be IN the service to know absolutely well why why why... blah blah blah... such a thing is happening etc.

You can be passionate but when whatever you've planned always do not go accordingly due to factors not within your control... how long can you last?
Sooner or later, you'll be immuned and numb or else you can go crazy and end up in ***.
fyi, MOE has those \"Reignite your passion\" kind of workshops.
If the passion can stay alive by itself despite all the hammering, why would there be need for such workshops?

    • RE: Rated S for Scary - About fengshui and supernatural stuff

Last year when we still subscribed to Starhub's cable vision, I used to watch Animal Planet's \"The haunted\".

It's not about animal spirits but rather, their ability to sense and the changes that happened to them when staying in a haunted house.

It was the most horrible/thrilling/freaky show I had watched for the past few years. The worst part is knowing that all those incidents in the show were real.

For some of the episodes, the show kept replaying in my mind. It was really horrifying. Yet it opened my eyes to understand that there's a possibility to having such things happening to the household IF a wrong move is done.

So yah.. best not to provoke any unknown or unseen forces.

p.s. just google for \"Animal planet The haunted\" and filter only the videos if you want to watch the show... :siam:

      then that’s all right.

      just a one time off.

maybe it’s the "kitchen god" moving around, trying to find out what else to report to the "Yu Huang Da Di" when he’s up there for the annual report.

Ancestors are allowed in the house from what I’ve heard. They move around once in awhile to ensure everything’s ok.

The possibility of passer-by is high… though they don’t really pass through people’s houses… so maybe it’s not passer by.

      +++++++++++++++++++++++
When I was still single, I remember hearing someone sigh out softly and said "Ah… poor thing" while I was 20% asleep in my bed.
I jumped up instantly and followed the sound…to the kitchen!!!
My mum said it’s probably the kitchen god.
As for why the god said that, I’m not sure.

Ah yes.. one more incident which I recall.

I was walking my dog around the neighbourhood. As we passed by a tree, my dog froze and refused to move an inch. I looked at the tree and could feel goosebumps on my body. It was an eerie looking tree.
But I pretended to be very brave - picked up my dog and walked passed the tree while chanting some prayers in my mind.

That night, my gums swelled badly. I still went to work the next day though it was painful and swollen. The swell got worse as the day passed and I mentally asked for forgiveness. After about 3 days, it subsided.

A few months later, I told a colleague about this incident. (Her mum's place and my place are some streets apart).
She said that her neighbour's grown up son was walking passed that area one night after work when he saw a 'lady in white' seated on the bridge, waved to him and said 'Hi'. :yikes:
He ran all the way home and had high fever for a few days.
      Luckily he recovered after that...

Ok. So far these are all that I recalled.

      Please share your experiences
