Ah yes.. one more incident which I recall.


I was walking my dog around the neighbourhood. As we passed by a tree, my dog froze and refused to move an inch. I looked at the tree and could feel goosebumps on my body. It was an eerie looking tree.
But I pretended to be very brave - picked up my dog and walked passed the tree while chanting some prayers in my mind.

That night, my gums swelled badly. I still went to work the next day though it was painful and swollen. The swell got worse as the day passed and I mentally asked for forgiveness. After about 3 days, it subsided.


A few months later, I told a colleague about this incident. (Her mum's place and my place are some streets apart).
She said that her neighbour's grown up son was walking passed that area one night after work when he saw a 'lady in white' seated on the bridge, waved to him and said 'Hi'. :yikes:
He ran all the way home and had high fever for a few days.
Luckily he recovered after that...

Ok. So far these are all that I recalled.

We have stayed there a few times before but that was the first & only time we saw leh.... Some more near CNY. My MIL said could be ancestor.

maybe it’s the "kitchen god" moving around, trying to find out what else to report to the "Yu Huang Da Di" when he’s up there for the annual report.

Ancestors are allowed in the house from what I’ve heard. They move around once in awhile to ensure everything’s ok.

The possibility of passer-by is high… though they don’t really pass through people’s houses… so maybe it’s not passer by.

When I was still single, I remember hearing someone sigh out softly and said "Ah… poor thing" while I was 20% asleep in my bed.
I jumped up instantly and followed the sound…to the kitchen!!!
My mum said it’s probably the kitchen god.
As for why the god said that, I’m not sure.

Last year when we still subscribed to Starhub's cable vision, I used to watch Animal Planet's \"The haunted\".

It's not about animal spirits but rather, their ability to sense and the changes that happened to them when staying in a haunted house.

It was the most horrible/thrilling/freaky show I had watched for the past few years. The worst part is knowing that all those incidents in the show were real.

For some of the episodes, the show kept replaying in my mind. It was really horrifying. Yet it opened my eyes to understand that there's a possibility to having such things happening to the household IF a wrong move is done.

So yah.. best not to provoke any unknown or unseen forces.

besides the haunted there was also ghost lab where audio n videos of ghosts were shown. currently in the biography channel there are 2 more: celebrity ghost stories and ghostly encounters.

usually dog freeze is because they see "dirty thing".


sometimes around 3 am or 4 am -
downstairs you can hear dogs "crying" or howling away. They are not barking, but "howling", like crying very, very sadly. This cry is very unusual. Your goose bump rise when you hear the dog howling like thiat. That’s because dog see "dirty thing", dog is terrified.

•Generally there are many types of hungry ghosts or just ghosts. They travel at the speed of thought and also can live hundreds of years almost like some sort of mini titan. So it is possible for people of many generations to see the same being after many generations. Even seven or eight generations and so on.

•The amount of beings existing in the realm of spirits/ghost far far far exceeds that of humans. Their population is huge.

•Spirits have various personalities just like animals and humans. You can generalize them. Like people from the North will be generally taller than of the South. That is very general with many exceptions of course.

•You have the bitter, nasty, harmless, weak, powerful, quiet, noisy, dysfunctional, sneaky, kind, helpful ghosts and with many more personalities. Because ghosts have the ability to travel superfast they have a sort of clairvoyance. They can reak havoc with their clairvoyance because it is limited and hence can give advice that turns out wrong in the long run. But seemingly the advice is ok in the short run with or without knowing it from their side.

•The ghosts can change shapes and forms to appear to you in the form you find comfortable to communicate with you or to frighten you. They wish to communicate for many reasons such as loneliness, anger, expressing their sorrows, or some wish to assist in their own way for something in return.

•Some spirits can even appear to the untrained as Tara!!! (female Bodhisattva in Mahayana Buddhism who appears as a female Buddha in Vajrayana Buddhism) Zong Rinpoche told us, some appear as Tara to people!!! So we have to be extremely careful when dealing with them. Better not to deal with them but be aware of their presence.

•To elicit favours from them like asking for lottery number, eliminating an enemy, or getting information from them could be dangerous in the long run depending on their characters. Should be avoided. Being careful to not simply do binding rituals or order them here or there. They can get you back in a way you least suspect. Better to leave them alone.

•Basically if they are in this form, it does not arise from positive karma. So the results cannot be generally positive.

•If they are in the ghost realm, something definitely went wrong. To take rebirth in that realm generally requires one’s mind to have extreme great attachment to a place, person, thing, idea or the such. That attachment is what binds them to their situation until karma is ‘finished’. When they go into the light, it could be another realm, or rebirth. It is not going into a ‘heaven’ as we know it.

Before I got married, I used to have lots of weird dreams.

- dreamt about ..... coming to seek revenge because they said I owe them from my previous lives!!
(The revenge-seeking dreams eventually stopped after I put a Buddha script beside my bed).
- two people, one in black and one in white at my mum's door-step, looking at the door-number???!!!! When I got married and moved house, I dreamt of the same 2, at my new house's door-step, checking a book and said, \"Ah. Yes. Shifted to this house.\"!!!!!!
At that time, I really freaked out because my DH used to work night shift and I was always alone at home.
I dare not, till this day, tell my DH as I know he will not believe me and I don't want to let him worry over this.

I switch on Buddha chants frequently to calm and harmonize the air in the house - feeling pleased and relieved that it's working well so far.

Authumni76, you have special talent. Can communicate with these special forces. What you saw was also hei bai wu chang. Lucky nothing happen. Seems like you have a guardian angel that is always protecting you leh.
