      Allowing your child to well choose their own sec sch, well of cos cannot be those very ridiculous compared to their results lah.

      Well, sometimes we ought to give them space as next 4 years / 6 years require much trust and help=)
      A good secondary helps a lot

        Let your child choose his own sec school is a bad idea. When I offer that to mine, the choice was base on how nice is the school. My friend stays in Pasir Ris, his dd put Cresent Girl as her #1 choice. :stupid:

          On 22nd, the following will happen;


          Release of Posting Results
          The posting results will be released on 22 December 2009 (tentative). Parents and pupils will be able to check the posting results via any of the following channels:

          1. Short Messaging System (SMS) via applicantโ€™s local mobile number (if provided by applicants during submission of school choices)
          2. S1-IS (http://www.moe.gov.sg/education/admissions/secondary-one-posting/)
          3. Interactive Voice Response System (Tel: 6691-2066)
          4. Going to the childโ€™s primary school

          Pupils have to report to their posted secondary schools on 23 December 2009 at 8.30 am.

          What time will we be receiving the sms on 22nd ?

          Last year, friends got the sms by 9am

                I feel, purely allow child to choose their own or purely the parent choose for the child, its not a good idea. It should be an open discussion, joint decision. At 12yo, they can be still unclear on the pros and cons of the schools.

                      Not true. Our surname starts with \"L\" and we rec'd the sms at 6am last yr.
