Just wonder, parent has to go school with their child to collect the result?

I don't think students repeat PSLE. I think for those with very low score, they go to a school called Pathlight, Northlight or something like that.

So those low score, can they request to repeat P6 instead of going to those school?

It's recommended that parents accompany their kids to collect results...show a form of moral support regardless how they perform. No matter what, our kids had gone through a tough 9 months. If they see their classmates with parents and he/she doesn't have, it can be rather dampening. It is an important day.

My DS's sch have 2 repeat students from last yr's batch.

              Usually very few repeat
cases. Mainly those who failed English. Those who go to Northlight or Pathlight are those who have very low T score & it is unlikely for them to make it even they repeat for another year.

No, it's not necessary. And not every child wants their parents to be there!

It's not necessary but I think it's nice to be there to support your child. During my dd's time, two of her schoolmates did poorer that they had hoped and they were sobbing inconsolably and their parents weren't there to support them. The girls and teachers gathered round to console them as best as they could but at the end of the day they still had to make their way home alone on public transport. It was a sad sight to see.
