Typical autistic kid at 3 yrs old wouldn't bother if your friend's daughter burned her fingers by touching the oven.helplessmum3:
I think if I hav a younger sibling he might be big brother.
As he is the only child now. Once when I'm at friend house, my fren daughter go touch the oven My son keep telling her not to touch n bring her hands away so cute
Hehe, I think I've some autistic traits in me too. Not someone who can keep friends.
Mashy,
Exactly! That's y we always think Helplessmum's son is misdiagnosed! -
I didn’t tell my son specifically about his condition. I guess I also don’t want it to limit
Himself thinking that becoz he is autistic and thus he cannot do. I think I will only tell him when it’s necessary. Right now, it isn’t. He probably already knows he is different becoz he goes KKH so often and from his interactions with others. -

Exactly! That's y we always think Helplessmum's son is misdiagnosed![/quote]Yup. My boy couldn't care less about others at 3 years old. I think the main thing about autism is that they live in their own world, oblivious of other beings in the world. When we went out, he was always in the stroller coz when he walked, he walked wherever he wanted and not following us. It didn't matter to him if we were there or not. He has never cried when he was lost. My gal will walk side by side and look back even if she should run in front.
Now I'm teaching my boy the responsibility of taking care of others like his sister. Like when I'm talking to someone, I will get him to watch over her. When she's pooing, I get him to read to her. He's getting it slowly but surely.

Mashy ,
Believe or not after my son been diagnosed w autism .
As there higher speculatin that usually is genetics I keep guessing is it me or my husband or my parents has it lol -
My son does follow us when we are out. If he ran about, sometimes he will look back but we always have him in sight, don’t want to really lose him. So not sure if he will cry or not. Hmm, maybe I shall test him out near our neighbourhood, I hide behind a pillar and see if he comes looking for me.

Mom asked "I have a 5 year old boy who can’t talk. He can only call "papa" or "mama" but nothing else. Went to kkh child development Dr Lim but each time we went, she didn’t say much about his development nor have any recommendations on what to do to make him better. Also, his behavior is at times very bad. As in he throws tempers and cries alot and no matter what we do, he will not stop. "
