      VJA:

Agreed. Not necessary best class will get best teachers. Understand years ago they did that but not now.

      Change principal, everything changed.

Good to hear that good teachers are not allocated in the best class. However, 6A standard is still the best leh compare to 6B, 6C led by HOD.

Just to check is A class the best of all or A and B are equally best?

I think the principal is trying to level the playing field so it is true that not necessary the HOD will be in the best class. During the PTM, the teacher shared that his philosophy is to help all kids not just those in the top 3 classes.

Though for p6 this year, HODs not in the 6A, most of the other teachers still delivered. Each year juz need to pray for good, caring and responsible teachers. All schools have their share of good and not so good teachers so as parents need to monitor and extend support and help whenever necessary. It is juz like adults trying to adapt working with different types of managers.

Whether A class is the best class, we will only find out on 22 Nov… Psle results release day.

Need to make a quick decision abt BiCEP by tonight, so experienced parents, please help…

          1) is there much homework/projects/preparation needed at home?

          2) Does your kid find e program interesting &/or demanding? If yes, in what ways?

3)is there lots of memorizing or test?

          4) is it possible to drop out mid program if can’t cope?

Ds quite a potato, so in a way we thought e program might b useful to interest him in Chinese culture n history etc

            1) is there much homework/projects/preparation needed at home? Not much homework but every Mon 2 hours after class.

            2) Does your kid find e program interesting &/or demanding? If yes, in what ways? Yes, so far my DD enjoys it. They learn alot of Chinese culture, hstory and they have SHHK camp (no staying) in P4. She loves this. Fun and interesting. P5 will have a compulsory trip to TW or CN.

3)is there lots of memorizing or test? Nope. only one test end of the yr

            4) is it possible to drop out mid program if can't cope? nope. is a 3 yrs commitment

Ds quite a potato, so in a way we thought e program might b useful to interest him in Chinese culture n history etc
I never regret my DD joins the program though was rather worried that she has no time for homework. She don't find it stressful to be in it.
