yes...i agree with you...230 upwards can go to st andrew's, maris stella, fairfield also.

i am looking at st andrew's sec...we went for car ride to take a look. quite on the way to send son to school after dropping off daughter at toa payoh.

well said! from p4 to p5 is not only a big jump rather a great leap forward! Rest assure in P5, and be prepared to see the CA1/SA1, the grades will dip! what we call cultural shock! But if your child usually do well (p1 to p4), then from CA2 to SA2, your child will get back to normal, as in scoring 95+ or more …that is very normal and attainable.. if that is what we called adaptation….don't sweat, take it easy…. a high achiever will be able to bounce back very fast… proven over and over again… :imcool: :rahrah:

Seriously, that jump from P4 - P5 is really more like a LEAP towards the unknown. Almost all the kids will see that sharp drop...making all parents hysterical :lightrod:

SJI will be at present premise in 2013 and then at temp holding school in Bishan from Jan 2014...daughter's school moving back to original site beside Phillips in July 2014.
All the moving about really a headache.

thanks, we went thru that cycle when DD was in P5…. thankfully, the school had briefed all the parents to be prepared for that great leap forward \" cultural shock\". But it still gave most parents some concerns during p5, CA1.. b'cos we are so used to seeing the kids scoring near to 100% or 100% all the times.

My son hardly scored 90 plus. So dropping to 30% at P5 made us super worried…I insisted getting help for son because he had trouble coping in school.

Don't worry, MOE already said going to make changes to PSLE, so whatever the score still go to a good school.
