Thanks for the info!

Î hope is helpful. And not forgetting a pair of gloves to keep your fingers warm at all times. Buy mosituriser and lip balm at Body shop Europe are cheaper.

Yes just bought moisturiser from the body shop here. Was recommended to use \"intense\" type by the sales girl. She say suitable for Europe use. But not cheap....$27 compare to those $5 Nivea moisturiser cream seen in Ntuc.
Body shop in Italy and UK are very cheap compared to home. After tax refund, nearly 40% cheaper esp their tree oil series.

Didn't notice body shop in Paris and didn't go to Brussels can't advise in that sorry.

At Paris, long champ and other branded are almost half price

In uk outlet, Prada sling bag sold at 500pounds, was told it is def more than a few k at home.

U could check out the price of your favorite items and compare the px in Paris. Besides euro is even cheaper now. 🕺

Bodum stainless steel travel mug bought at 19 pounds, saw it last week at taka for sgd 108 exactly the same.

When I travel, I use google maps on my iPhone. You need a wifi connection to download the map for the area you are at, but you are not charged for that blue dot that shows up on the map that tells you where you are. When I was in Europe over summer I didn’t get a local sim card and was not charged roaming charges for maps. I didn’t know this until I met up with my pilot friend in Paris and he told me that’s what he does. Now that wifi is so prevalent, I don’t even subscribe to data roaming unless there’s a good deal. I think the directions function is charged, but not if you want to see your present location on maps.

Hi isetan, can use credit card lah. Make a photocopy of your passport as u may need it to process tax refund at the stores. Galereies Lafayette has an area specially for generating the tax refund forms which u can bring to the eu departure port for processing immediate refund by cash or a little longer by credit card.

Have fund shopping in Paris and other parts in Europe.

If u happen to be in Switzerland, bag up with Swiss knives, very nice gifts and much cheaper. Buy chocolates from their supermarket which are cheaper and some of them not sold here.

                Cheers.

Thanks GLORYmum, normally I like to go for good exchange rate. For credit card, the rate will be high, but yes, safety is also impt, I will consider seriously. Thank you.

Thanks for the tip. Does this still apply with the new iPhone maps?

                        Dear all,

Where do you get winter clothings for your children? Is there any sale that you know of? Looking at pants, boots and vest that could keep the children warm.

                        Thanks in advance!
