Anyway, whatever is the result, do give your child a big hug, they deserve it. Life does not just depend on this result..................
Well said. Don't give them anymore pressure. I was at an open house last weekend, there were many art pieces show cased. They were beautiful. The sad part was at least 60 - 70% of them depicted the stress, the frustration of a student's life. Somewhat like the art piece which won the UOB award. I asked the teacher why the kids are not happy?

The teacher said that apart from school work, they were also emotionally stressed as they go thru puberty, transition from pr to sec school....

Hug our kids, love our kids....they are OUR kids :grphug:

            Need clarification please.

            1) can we base on the grey book cop to place our choice? Eg. If last year cop is 235, and your child results is 235, confirm get in or still risky?

            2) Prior to going overseas, one have to appoint a proxy for both 19 & 20 Dec, to check posting and registering at school?

            3) Proxy assigned but we are only back on 31st Dec, can we buy books and uniforms on the first day of school?

            Thanks

              1) Last year's COP is just a guide to what it might be this year. Each year's COP varies with demand and supply. No guarantee that the COP will remain, so choose your options carefully.

              2) You'll be notified of the school you've been successfully sent to via SMS. So no need to have proxy to check posting.

              3) Not a good idea to buy uniforms on first day of school bec what will your son wear to school that day? Check with the school where you can purchase the uniform bec first day of school.

Supposing last year’s COP is 235 for eg, what is a ‘safe’ COP that my child can get into the school? All kids are using last year COP as reference. So how would parents know whether their kids stand a chance?

I’m glad nani asked this, bcos this question is also weighing heavily in my mind.

Why is it that so many schools are introducing IP? Does it affect intake for our kids?

T score depends on several factors…from the looks of it, these factors are not known to us right?

although the number of IP Sec schools are growing, but some are more established or deem more prestigious than others. (in terms of the no. of years )
