Thanks, I made a pair of glasses for my gal at Queensway. Was told my gal probably dun have to wear it after age 6 and that lens may change every now and then so decided to go for something not expensive. Thanks!

Hello everyone!


My gal failed her eye test too and now she’s 6 wearing glasses. My girl also has very serious dark circles from 5 months of age till now. Anyone with similar condition? I checked with specialist and told she had sensitive nose which causes the dark circles. After on medicine for half a year, I see no improvement and hence has stopped the medication.


Anyone encounter something similar, let me know. thanks!

We use eye-relax and inverter-lamps to slow down myopia. Whole family wears glasses. can’t be helped. it’s genetic. eye-relax can also be used to slow down the progress of long-sight aka lao hua yan.

mathsparks, I'm almost technically blind and DH wears glasses as well. Thankfully, kids are still okay. Am getting either the inverter lamp or the polarized one at the bookfest later today (good offer )...may I know where to get eye-relax and what does it do to slow down progress of lao hua yan (that's more for me. ..thanks!)

Hi Peapot, the dark circles may due to lack in something in her body ie vitamins. You may want to speak with a PD or nutritionist. :xedfingers:

Eye relax having promo at Popular's bookfest. 20% off their latest model. End up is about 630 (plus/minus). Till 21st Dec.

I've given some feedback on eye relax elsewhere on the forum, and here also:

just to relate, at the start of my hol, i could read the subway map, there're at least 10 lines, with stations all in fineprint printed on a page in the tourist guide (size of half an A4 page). Towards the end of my trip, I couldn't focus much, and the stations names all turn up fuzzy. coz i din pack my machine along. :lol:

but nothing to it, just a few continuous nights of eye relax, i'm as good as new again. but be prepared to invest at least 11 mins (mine's earlier model) and daily for a start, thereafter you can space out the sessions.

got mine in guardian, some years back.

FYI, they are selling the old model (I think it is close to 500). slight difference between old and new model but price wise is about 200 difference. Up to individual which is preferred.

swissflex uses something like lego parts where you can choose and customise the colors for the frame, nose piece etc.

But, a word of caution to those thinking of getting it. I got my old glasses replaced with a swissflex at a cost of $560. :!: very expensive, but I was assured that it's lightweight. It is lightweight indeed, there's no pressure on the nose, but now the weight has shifted to my ears. *Ouch* , I can't wear it for long, and I've regretted my purchase. Still going back to the optician to adjust the frame...and still wearing my lenses for long periods of time.
