All About Travelling Pregnant Or With Kids

Anyplace good for kids - 2 yrs toddler and 10 yrs old?
For HK…will the weather be hot?
For Australia, it will be rainy season right? -
Has any mummy travel to cold temperate country while she was 4months pregnant? Will the coldness affect the pregnancy? What to look out for while travelling to such areas?

How to entertain toddlers on plane?
I brought my son to HK when he was around 1.5 years old via sq. They provide some toys and colour books… entertained him for about half an hour before he fall asleep for the next 30 mins… was a smooth journery there…
However on flight back, it was a nightmare. It could be the timing was near to his bed time and he cant sleep due to air pressure. He cried & puke 3 times throughout the last 60 mins when the air stewardess insisted on the seat belt… i dont even dare to look behind…
I guess the flight duration & timing plays a part. -

i suppose you just have to keep yourself warm with enough clothing. dress in layers. unless you have specific condition that will post a challenge in cold country. otherwise it should be biz as usual. -

Normal precautions about activity, food and rest should be enough. Remember to stay well-hydrated as you tend to forget to drink when the weather is colder. -
Travelling with kids, mostly importantly is to be prepared for the unexpected. My personal experience:
1. DD1 refused to be sat with me on the flight. I have to carry her, walking up & down the aisle for 4hours fr Singapore to HK and she don’t want DH to carry.
2. DD1 cried all the way from Singapore to London non stop for 13hours => I almost died from exhaustion. DH cant helped much coz DD1 dun wan him again
3. DD1 puked on me during our flight to HK. => Lesson learnt, always prepared a spare set of clothes in your carry on luggage.
4. Always have books, coloring stuff, ipad, leappad whatever available. It is a good form of entertainment for them on board plane or on the road. It enables you to have some sanity for a while.
5. If you re doing some self drive, it pays to buy a 2nd hand car seat or booster seat and bring it over. Most airlines will check them in for you free and it saves you money from renting at the car rental companies. My family went to Australia for 10 days and rented a car for 7 days. The rental for a car seat + booster seat is AU$12 per day = AU$84 for 7 days. Our booster seat + car seat is only SG$30. The savings, we can use to pay for some entrance tickets or food. -
