i am thinking of heading to europe for the long august holiday but no idea where to go simply too many want to go lolz

... did a self drive romantic road trip last year but hubby would liek to do rail this year ... check with Trafalgar and Conti ..no children below 5 allowed ..so guess have to DIY lolz..

any recommendation which part of europe is best to go in August

      more into scenaric tours..

Aug is peak of summer, and European tourists will be out in full strength! So be prepared for higher hotel prices. Days are long and everywhere shd be bright and sunny, perhaps maybe a little hot in the south. You can't go wrong with any of the places if your objective is to experience a European summer. šŸ™‚

that is what i read on the net...but last year i went frankfurt also in august look fine to me ... bright and sunny ..excellent background for photo taking and weather is cooling and cold at times ( 14 degrees ) though it is summer ..so i kind of enjoy it lolz ...

anyway we have shortlisted ...we going to try cover France , Switzerland and Italy :rahrah: now need to quickly google for deals :rahrah:

      PegMama:

My got a transfer maid and agent charged me $888 (agent fee) + $321 (insurance) and 7 months advances for the maid loan. Total I paid around $5000. Nowadays, agent anyhow charges and any amount employer paid hardly can recover back if maid no good. Good luck.

after i have a bad experience with one of my ex-helper by paying a high placement fees, i refrain myself from doing it again. hence i look for helpers with decent placement fees ranging about$1000-$2000.

that is why i refused to do it .. no guarantee high agent fee = quality maid .. even though they claims they screen the maid and they only accept the best

      Thanks a lot!

    • RE: All About Full-Time Maids

what is the norm agent fees + placement fee these days ?

I found a maid but her agent is charging $1588 before insurance and work permit admin papers and the maid placement fee is $3K !!

all the ++ that is equal to S$5K

i am under the impression there is more transparency now … the fees payable to the agent is only 2 months of their salary (her basis is $600) so i got a shock with i see the final amount
