My hubby always say \"why don you spend the thousands on LV bag to buy a Bonia bag. With the same price you prob can buy 10 Bonia's and change bag every week\" Man are really simplistic, equating everything as being equal

Tell your DH that spend on LV bag very economical already, wait till you buy Hermes bag, he will sure go :yikes: !!!

Haha... mommylow... but Hermes really can last, they will not get outdated, can send back for spa, minor repairs like loose threads and zipper... if you are not collecting colors then it's better to get the practical colors and the Zip Around, Bearn, Kelly Long or Constance instead of the bi-fold Evelyn...

The wallet may last long but the waiting list is long too...

can share which brand of wallet you using and how long it can last?

            πŸ˜„
            Burberry. Lasted 11 years :yikes:
And it was my everyday wallet, throw here & there kind of usage. Yet its leather trimming only started to peel off at the 11th year

Just started using coach few months ago so can't comment yet.

I notice man usually carry Braun Buffel or Renoma but ladies always carry more branded wallets. My hubby can't phantom why we woman need to pay so much to own a wallet or bag

πŸ˜† indeed. My friends kept persuading me to buy a lv, saying that it would last me 10-20 yrs, so it will just be $50-100 per year assuming the lv wallet cost $1000. I told them, my guy laroache one costs me only sgd50 but last me 12 yrs! So how to justify buying an lv???

Get a mont blanc wallet then? Cheaper.
My hubby has been using one for 4 years and it's looking as good as new.
He likes its subtle design, just a tiny logo at the corner of the wallet.

I can always create an award for myself and make hubby pay for it. after all, I clean the home, take care of the kid/ him/his family/car for so long.... The thing is, I haven't found something I really like. I always end up looking at the same design/material and I am like,\"why change then? Since the new one also the same and the old one is still ok?\" the old one is really ok, just some scratches on one side but the seams/slots/zip etc all perfect. No peeling also. So it's a mental hurdle for me to justify buying a new one (which would look exactly the same as the old one) or to buy an expensive one.

Funny, my handbags don't last that long.... At most two years and each one would have to retire - peeling/defaced, stains, loose stitches la... I am that kind who would just drop my bag on the ground if I need both hands to attend to my child. $2000 per bag or $200 per bag all get the same treatment πŸ˜‰

I usually buy Toscano, like the price and the design (functional requirements) but did not keep track on how long they lasts.

I conveniently shove all sorts of rubbish eg. ATM withdrawal slips, receipts ect in it and sometimes it can get very bulky for weeks before I clear the stuff out.

I don't treat my wallet well, so no point buying something expensive. Prefer to have more cash in the wallet than having an expensive wallet with little cash in it. πŸ˜‰

That is true about Mont Blanc. I am using one and still look as good as new after coming to 4 years.
