Sigh… can’t go holiday liao. Tonight I got to look through that grey book and think about the choices. I can now throw away the previous list. Need to re-create a new one.

Sad to see DS so down.

I feel like a smart Alec...telling you all about assessment books and yet don't know why son had such results. Maybe I should leave this forum. I don't know how to continue here.

Your contributions in this forum have been exemplary and appreciated. This forum needs people like you.

Don't despair and stay strong for your children sake, although it is a hard thing to do after such a setback. Take this as an opportunity to show your strength to your children and show them how to overcome setbacks. So long as there is will and an eagerness to continue putting in efforts to improve academically and holistically, there will be light at the end of the tunnel. Remember life is full of ups and downs. So it may be down now but an 'up' may be around the corner.

Sometimes a 'down' like this can spur a child to greater heights. This may well happen. I know because I have a nephew in exactly the same situation but now doing pretty well and yearn for the 'O' level to come soon.

Hi Janet. I remember you and your son were not feeling well during the PSLE exam. Maybe it affected the result. Anyway, PSLE is not everything. My cousin's DD did not do too well in PSLE and now the DD is doing very well in law school. Be strong for your son. He needs you most now.

Janet, you are a great mum no doubt about it. I am sure your DS really appreciate your help and support all these years. Our DC's future are not determine by just one single exam, please don't give up, not now not ever! :hugs:

Hi fifiyeo appeal forms will only be uploaded on the schools' website or available after school posting on 19 December. Will still need to report to the school to secure a place. Need to attach all supporting documents with application form.

For us, will definitely need to appeal at more than 1 school and have gone to the schools to speak with the office. We were not able to speak to the principal though.

                  My son didn't very well...he scored 203.

Don't let him him know that you feel disappointed with him. Give him a hug and prepare him for secondary one. PSLE is over.

Hi Janet, feel your pain as am in similar situation. :hugs: Just had long talk with DD at 6am and she had just gone to sleep.

You had done a lot for your kids and he will do well because he has such good role model. Do not be discouraged, stay focus on the next goal which is the O level. We will be supporting you. :rahrah: :rahrah:

We cannot change the current situation but we can, by our current reaction, change the outcome of the next major exam.

                    Take care and God bless.
Hi Janet, I'm sure you tried very hard. It's not the end of the world and don't let it be.

I had to battle my tears and be there for my boy. Hopefully next year they'll grow up and do better. I'm sure our boys tried the best they can and that's what matters. In time to come they will blossom.

Although he cleared 4As t-score was low. He broke down in school after exclaiming \"how come like that?\". I swallowed my tears. We walked out of school with him in tears.

It hit me when we reached home...my son cried in the toilet while I hid myself and cried. We just couldn't believe but it is a fact.

Please do not be overly sad. PSLE is just a milestone. Starting secondary school life is like writing on a clean slate again. Usually, writing on a clean slate again becomes easier and yields better results.

Trust me, I have seen people around me done well in secondary schools after their psle.
Me too 😃
