With affiliation means Band results not accurate. Need to remove the weaker affiliation students results to compare same thing. My DS left Ngee Ann 2 years ago got 7 As and in Meridien JC going to finish A level. No affiliation for her with her 240 score. The teachers are good and environment very good with newly renovated facilities. Hope my younger DS can get in. Praying hard for results to go >235 on Thurs.BB KS mummy:

Hi, my daughter worked extremely hard for PSLE and yet got 252+2 HMT. She cried after receiving her score and made me cry too. She was the school topper in p5 and also received edusave award for the top 5%. Her result is unexpected and all the while we were thinking of only top schools and IP programme. Can you pls guide us with some good Schools with IP to choose?. Can you also suggest whether to appeal for her science and Tamil in which she got a A?. The other 2 subjects is A*. Thanks a lot for helping.

Pam Pam:
hi all, i am new here :
My ds next year will go to Sec 1, need some advise which school is better:
1) Choa Chu Kang
2) Regent
3) Zheng Hua Sec
4) West Spring
5) Unity
6)Greendrige
Looking for your kindly advise.....
:thankyou:
Do look into distance and CCAs please.
And unless your child has no preference of what school he/she wants... I think he/she should have a big say on which school to go to!
I've seen students who went to school for parent's choice because it's \"better\" even though they really didnt want to, most of them do very badly in the school because they're really bitter (and they either say it out loudly or they bury it deep in their hearts). -
My friend’s son received edusave award for top 10% in his school too. But his score was only 22+. It has to depend which school is she in & her actual day performance. My son’s friend gets A* for his English but his school prelim was only B.

Hey there, I'm 12 and I'm trying to look for a secondary school to put as my first choice. I got 243 + 2 for my PSLE and I live in Pasir Ris. (East)
I was from red swastika school.
Here are some of my choices:
Ngee Ann Secondary School : (233) NON-SAP
cos their facilities I really like and it's at Tampines, very close to where I live. But... I was from the first class and I thought returning to RSS in the ngee Ann uniform with all my other friends in uniforms like DHS, TJC, I'll be very embarrassed.
Chung Cheng High School (Main) : 237 SAP
Cos well, mostly because it's said to be a 'good school' and their students are mostly disciplined so I won't fall into bad company. It's at Dakota. A little far, but I THINK I can handle.
Anglican High School : 243 SAP
I know this seems to be my 'should-be' first choice since it's the highest in ranking. But when they came to my school for a talk, while promoting their school, I really didn't enjoy it. Their facilities I don't really like and they focus more on sports as well, I'm not good at that, AT ALL. Its at Tanah Merah btw. I heard travelling there isn't all that good.
So... These schools are more or less the schools I will 95% surely get into with my results and I know it's a big decision so I wanna choose it wisely. I'm good at aesthetics and Chinese. I'm interested in singing, aesthetics, and debating stuff lol. But... I didn't really have any CCAs in primary school.
HAHAHA, ONE LAST QUESTION. If you know, does these schools have prom?
and are there any suggestions you have? Please help! :?: -

Hi!But i thought that most/all of the sec schools do have prom nights?So..my answer should be a 'Yes'.I suggest...Anderson Sec(245)?But since you live quite far away from Ang Mo Kio...But I like that school as it is a good school. And I have been to Chung Cheng(Main) before and i like it very much too but it is quite far away from where i'm living. But I like the school's environment and facilities. They also have a tea room and a big lake.It has SAP and it is autonomous also.:)

…and Chung Cheng Main, I heard their classrooms are air cond.

Ya…That’s the part which will interest more students to want to go Chung Cheng Main…
