I wonder what is the outcome if they did report and interview the top scorer this year given his profile….

President’s scholar takes into account other non academic factors and teachers ???

It is discouraging to the real highest scorer student. No media limelight for him/her. How about stop publishing the Best Teacher Award?

Wonder who are committee members agree with such decision?

Must as well stop publishing who are the President Scholarship, GCE O level and GCE A Level scorers.

Also stop publishing Best Teacher Award in tne newspaper.
          Take down MOE website too.

They will be doing the same for the O level results next year.

You sound rather sore about the hush hush surrounding the PSLE.

I don't think stop publishing the top student'll work. It's just keeping the truth away from us. And the top student should deserve the honour of being announced as the top. And people can still gauge the position by comparing their mark from the top psle, n tuition centers get to lie by saying their student is the top, while the top cannot deny due the the fact that he/she is not allowed tolet the public know he/she is the top

Would not be good if the profile is if family is well to do background or migrated from elsewhere. 🦆

Last year President Scholarship was awarded to a non local girl. Creating an uproar among locals. Think the 285 scorer is not a 12 year old local with local parents may be born in SG but foreign parents.

uh??? It's now a sin for a top scorer to be well to do or migrated from elsewhere? Oh please...

This is interesting. I’m out of touch. Have we reach the stage that parents believe families with more financial resources will give their child an edge in terms of achieving better academic results becos of the ability to provided additional support like tuition and enrichments ?
