Can anyone share his/her view comparing Victoria School, Dunman High and Temasek Junior College - e.g. in terms of IP programme, CCA achievements, the school environment and culture, etc?
My feel is that vs and dhs are vastly different in terms of school cultures and students mix. Its not a matter of which is better, but which environment does your ds prefer....
No idea on tjc....
Yap I agree with you. Victoria is a single sex school while dunman high is a co ed school -
May I know the difference between TJC and HCI as I missed the open houses.Pls reply me either at hci web or tjc web as i posted this at the wrong page.

VS has 90 openings for IP last year. This year, they are allowing 160. The COP should drop instead of going up. Essentially, MOE and VS is saying that they are now confident to allow those with t-score just above 250 a place in IP. -

That's a relief then. Thanks for replying.Skyed:

My DS has admitted VS via DSA (sports). VS COP is 247. Very worried now as am afraid he might not be able to cope there. Any parent here with DS also admitted to VS via DSA. Can I seek your advise on any preparation to help them. :thankyou:

what is your DS cop? what sports is he in?
some years back, i came across a boy who had 225/226 and entered VS because of sports. he worked very hard and entered VJC by merit. i do not know any more details than this though. -
My dear son #1 will be starting his Sec 1 in VS IP.
1) are there restrictions on the sort of school shoes that can be worn? Can he wear white New Balance track shoes ( for example)?
2) how much is reasonable daily allowance at this level?
3) we live in the west - what is the normal expected time that his day will end in school? He has 3rd language and most likely 2 CCAs
4) Anyone can share tips and what to expect for new Sec 1 boy going to VS IP ?
Appreciate anything that can be shared as I realised there is quite limited info as this is a new pro for the school.
