You go to MOE website, then look for school information, or just google for \"MOE, school information\". Select the school type and then school name. You will find the Lower (COP), upper, median of PSLE for the school for at least four years. It is very helpful.

Instead of using total no of students who sat for PSLE, may like to use the number of students who passed and were eligible for express stream. This percentage is given in MOE’s press release every year. 2008 cut off points were "historical high" for some schools, like 265 for RGS.

I believe cut off points will rise this year as 1000+ more students are eligible for Express compared to last year, and EESIS cut off is higher.

There use to be average also. i am very sure about that. Look at the table, kiasu parent has computed and it contains average data.

It would also be interesting to know the data points if DSA students were included since many of these schools DSA 50% of their Sec 1 intake.

Yes, it would be interesting to see the complete data points, with the DSA students included.

I have my doubts that schools take up to 50% of their intake thru DSA, with the exception of specialty schools like NUSH, SST and SOTA etc. I think the numbers are much lower based on my simple observation and calculation.

Really? that's interesting. I got the idea that they take in 50% DSA because some of the schools told the parents during their Open Houses or briefing. For those schools which give out both CO and WL, I thought the final DSA numbers are close to, if not exactly, 50%.

If the schools do not find enough \"quality\" applicants during DSA phase to fill up 50% of intake, I think it is better that they leave more places for the S1 posting.

I did say it was based on my simple observation and calculation. Schools generally do not fill up their DSA vacancies for the sake of filling them up. If there aren't enough 'quality' applicants, the DSA spaces will be left vacant for S1 Central Posting.
