2012 PSLE Discussions and Strategy
-
This year has been truly traumatic & ‘memorable’.
I have never seen my son work so hard in all his 6 years of primary school before…although he didn’t produce stellar results, we still rewarded him for the effort put in…I was so afraid he would suffer a melt down before Sep 27…worse if he had brain block during the exam.
The worst is finally over…with the posting of the sec school result, we can close the chapter on PSLE for a while.
A reader mentioned in the ST forum today…we should celebrate the effort put in. I agree bcos it is the very first major exam of the child’s life. There are many more to come. -

Agreed. The effort put in counts. Our kids still have a long journey ahead of them. PSLE is only their first national exam & it is only part of their learning curve. Most O level top scorers are not PSLE top scorers. Our kids will grow up to be fine gentlemen & ladies in years to come. Cheers. This year has been truly traumatic & 'memorable'.

Don’t know about you fellows out there. I’m still pulling off my hair trying to arrange our 6 choices. It’s now down to which is 1st and last. Hiaz… I bet we all grew lots of white hair over this!

Same here, FIFi, panda eyes, tearing hair, more wrinkles over this, hope no ulcers pop out. Hahaha.. Just submitted not long ago, major headache.. Meanwhile, can continue to de clutter the study room to ease the headache..Don't want to see psle books and files.. Until 2 years later

Finally! It’s done. Now the wait. Hopefully not another death sentence.

Ha..ha.. Take it easy. We only picked 3 schools & we did not fill up all six. But we make sure that all 3 choices COP are below his score. Already submitted. Don't want to crack our heads over this matter lah. -

Should be alright. As long as your last 2 choices COP is below his score. Good luck! -

Only last one is 12 pts above COP. The others below COP or on the dot. -

After facing the results, crying out and then accepting it, we asked around regarding sec schools of our choices. Most importantly, chose schools below son's score. Now hoping he gets into first choice...ANOTHER torture until Dec 19 at least. This year super :siao:
Like you, I do not wish to see those books related to the 4 letters too...until 4 years later another round :frustrated: :nailbite: -

Ha..ha.. Mine next round will be 5 years later. I predict it will be worse than this round. My younger one is very playful.Desserts:
