Everybody travel differently n has different preferences. Read witha pinch of salt, then make your own decisions based on your own preferences/budget. The needs n preferences of your travel companions may be different as well.

Come la. Share your experiences n ask your questions. I’m sure the rest of us will benefit.

        Chill.

We came back fm GC 3wks ago, nothing much at Sea World. Movie World is more fun for your kids.
Travelling on public transport is very convenient. You can pay cash for purchase GOcard and it is refundable for any balance value.

How old are your kids. Is movie world too kiddie for young teens.

My children are aged 13 & 14. We covered 3 worlds and they loved Movie World the best. They also like Paradise Country and Outback Spectacular..we paid adults @ kids price(on promotion)....just sharing =))[/quote]
Better to buy Theme parks tickets online or buy there better? You got promo when you bought there?

Your activities sounds very fun! I'm planning to do Paradise Country Farm followed by Fruit World within a day as I read both requires half a day each. Do you think it can be done given FW is about an hr drive from PCF? Am doing self-drive. If I reach FW after 1pm, will I be missing out a lot, and is it hot there?

Will also appreciate if anyone can advise how is parking at these two places? It's my first time doing self-drive, so kind of excited about it 🙂

We’re now in GC. My kids are 12 and 15. Can see they are growing out of theme parks slowly but they still love thrill rides. They thought Movie world too kiddy and we went only to dreamworld and whitewater world. The 2 parks are connected. Dreamworld was nice. They also got to handfeed kangaroos, see wombats, koalas and tigers. It’s kinda all in one and the thrill rides were good. I reserved a Q4U device for them so they ger informed when to go for the ride they want they don’t need to join the main queue. It is very worth the money for the time saved.

Went to surfer paradise night market, had a good time shopping.

Went to Ripley, Do You Believe It. It’s called an Odditorium, like a
Museum but full of fun things on odd people and places. Kids love it. We had only 1 hr due to closing time and lady there actually let us continue our visit the following nigt FOR FREE.

Now we are at Moreton Island in Brisbane. The kids are snorkeling with the guides at the Tangalooma Shipwreck. The guide is a biologist and he will take them round the shipwreck about 50m from beach. They are provided with full wet suit, gloves and snorkeling equipment. Later they will go sandboarding on the island.

Tomorrow, we’ll go Oreily And Lamington Park. Then we’ll watch a 7D movies at night. Mon it’s back home.

If you need mobile access here. Best to buy a local sim. I got from AMAYSIM. Only 19.90AUD for stored value plu 500MB for data access. Local call only 12cents per min. Intl also cheap.

I am not joining kids for snorkling as my eyes are infected, just enjoying the beach and ksping.

Oh yes, in dreamworld, the best place to eat is Billabong restaurant near the wiggle land. 1 child pay AUD5 for 1 paying adult. We paid only 41 for buffet for 3. It’s cheap and food was delicious. Bring water bottle to refill at the restaurant instead of paying 4.50 for mineral water at kiosk.

                    Babyspike,

Very very hot here in the day. Night is cool and nice.

                    Carpark aplenty at attraction places.

Driving seems easy but I think good to get a gps. If using your phone GPS or map, get a local sim. If you want a chip just for data access, say for your tablet, only 9.90aud for 2GB and that is quite a lot for all your surfing need.

Was at Gold Coast last month. Stayed next to the Surfer’s Paradise… very relaxing to see the views the sea from our apartment every morning when we woke up. Stayed at One Esplanade Apartment after reading good reviews on Trip advisor.

Hope we can go back there again.
