I heard and saw lots of people putting 1st and 2nd choices cops >5 from their own aggs. If that's the case, there ll be MANY appeal cases on the day of posting. Wondering what will the chances be? Those in charge of looking into the appeal cases will be super busy, and if we go to them, maybe they ll start to :stompfeet: and snap at us.

Or is it that every year it's like that? I 'll be one of the appeal candidates too.

        Dear all,

fyi, MOE govt schools are not allowed to handle transfer-in/transfer-out case till 1st Jan. Reason being MOE has to handle transfer cases that are due to medical or distance reasons (eg Will be shifting to Jurong in Jan but posted to a school in the east). Please refer to this link http://www.moe.edu.sg/education/admissions/secondary-one-posting/posting-results-release/

Students with such reasons will be allowed to request for transfer via MOE System on Sec 1 registration day, and it will be managed by MOE first.

After end of December, schools then will start taking students on their waiting list (Higher COP or with special talents stands a higher chance) based on vacancy available.

It's ok to report to the posting school on 2nd Jan in your primary school uniform. 1st week is usually orientation period, no lesson will be conducted. BY end of week 2, usually those who appeal and have yet received calls from school means your appeal is unsuccessful.

        Hope it helps.

There will be a lot of appeal cases every year, especially for good schools. Chances will be good if you are only short of 1 or 2 points.

When will we know the result of our appeal? Will it be aft sch term starts, if that is such, then we will have to buy uniforms and books of the posted sch first and if appeal is successful then these uniforms and certain books will be of no use!

If you are appealing, maybe don't buy books or uniform first. Just inform the school that you are waiting for the appeal outcome. Can wear pri school uniform to reporting for the first week.

              throughout:
My DD did not get through the DSA of the top 2 sec schools, instead, she got offer from a lower ranking one and we decided to accept it. Now, PSLE results are known. My DD got 268+2. What nice if had not accepted the offer of DSA. Is there any chance to get rid of the current school and appeal back to the top twos? Thanks for help for those \"happy\" but \"regretful\" parents.

Base on what I know, DSA cases can't appeal. You should only apply DSA for schools that your DD wants to go.

Heard from DD's tuition teacher that some even got their marks deducted after paper recheck.
