Posting is base on merit & not choice. If DH COP is 255 then she will get into it. Unless its COP is 256 or higher than she will end up St Nick or SCGS. Chance of DH COP to be 255 is low. Last year COP is already 256 & this year should be higher. However, no harm trying. As long as the last 2 choices COP are lower than her score.

Choice also factors in. Eg. If there's a last place in Dunman and assuming the COP is 255, the person who put it as their first choice would get it instead of the person who put it as their second or subsequent choices.

You have misunderstood its meaning. The choice of schools here refers to your preference. MOE will try to place your child in a school of your choice. If 2 of them have the same score, the digits (e.g 255.999999) behind the decimal will determine who gets in. If it still a tie with the same unrounded score, then it will be determined by a computerised ballot. Pls read page 8 of the grey book, under School Posting Phase.ks2011:

Choice of schools here refers to preference, doesn't this imply that someone who placed School A as their first choice will be given priority over someone who places School A as their second choice, given that both have the same T score?Skyed:

They will try to put you in your first choice school. However, priority is given to the one with a higher score. According to the grey book, it is still merit before choice. Are you a student or a parent? You will understand better when you or your child takes PSLE. Don’t bother to crack your head if you still don’t get it.
