              Hi Felicia,

If you've not bought school shoes for your girl, can go to Bata & take a look. They're running a promotion till 9 Dec & some models are going for 2 pairs at $29. Not bad actually (quite comfy) & I've bought the velcro type for my daughter.

Since not going Msia anymore, I'll buy the A3 artbag from Popular this week. Also spotted a good Grammar textbook for my girl. :boogie:

                Hi FairyP,

I have brought 2 pairs for her in msia. One is all cloth type with velcro at RM19.99 and another is sports type at RM23.99. Then i realised the bigger the shoe size, the more expensive the price.
So i believe next year, my girl will be wearing the higher price shoe size. sigh...
Can share what Grammar textbook? My girl is weak on grammar.

i remember someone is asking about the tuition course at Blk804 RC.

i just came back from there and manage to talk to the teacher. A guy around the aged of 27-28yrs old. He's teaching Maths.

Quite impressive when he explained to me on how they teach the kids to solve the maths sum. But actual fact hv to try out first. πŸ˜„
Currently no one register for P1 maths yet. And there're 2 P2 students now.
P1 and P2 students share the same timing. I believe coz the total students is not many.

He'll give out worksheet for the kids to do for the 1st 45mins, before he start teaching for the next 45mins. The teacher seem quite friendly and will jokes with the kids.

For those interested, currently the schedule for P1 is as below:
                  Eng > Tues > 5.30-7pm
                  Maths > Thurs > 3.00-4.30pm
                  Chinese > Mon > 5.00-6.30pm

                  One subject -$60/mth
                  2 subjects - $100/mth
                  3 subjects - $150/mth

                  Materials fee : $3/mth/subject

Registration fee : $10 (one time payment).

                  If interested, can call : 9864 9506, 9386 1088

Btw this tuition lessons is under a company called Spring College International.

                    Hi Felicia,

With the favourable RM exchange rate, it is still cheaper to buy from Msia as evident from your purchase. Depending on the rate my girl wears out her shoes, I may consider crossing the Causeway

Oh yes, for the socks, must buy from PY with the logo type, is it?

As for the book, it's titled \"Basic English Grammar\" by Learners. Some primary schools use this book for P1 but PY doesn't. There is only 1 English textbook in PY's booklist. Since I've not collected the school books (bought online), unsure if a single book is sufficient. Nevertheless, I've bought the Grammar textbook & will use it to teach my girl. Found the book quite comprehensive & helpful. If you are keen, go to Popular & take a look πŸ˜„

Will you let your girl try the tuition at Blk 804?

                      HI FairyP,

I have brought socks w/o PY's logo! I will be let my girls wear it to school unless the teacher told me must hv PY's logo.

I have all the textbooks at home for 2 weeks already but nvr flip through yet, only wrap it with the transparent book cover and label with my girl's name.
Ok, when i'm free, i'll go Popular and see the book you recommend. Actually recently i just brought one grammar book as well. 'Learner's AID to Grammar & Vocabulary' by Times educational. Quite good as well. I, myself not good at grammar, so have to get a book with easy reference so that i can explain better to my girl.

About the tuition at RC, Blk804, i have registered my girl for the math's lesson but will only start in Jan 2013. I'm still considering whether to let my girl attend the english lesson. Actually i hv enquiry from Just Education @ Khatib but currently they dont hv enuf students for new class thats on weekday, so hv to think of oth alternative. I'm sure i'm not able to teach my own kid, sure will be  ! haha......so hv to send her to tuition class.
