Was anyone else there today for the orientation?
We were there and found the logistics well planned and the principal address very straight forward and informative. Can sense she is very focussed and has a good plan for the school and the kids.
As it is a new school, great new facilities for the kids to enjoy. -
I have 3 pcs of girl skort to give out. Used but in good condition. M size. Fit for a slim to medium size P1/P2 girl. Anyone interested just let me know. Thx.
My girl is going to P3 next yr so got her L size. Cheers. -
FYI, from P3 onwards next year, the school is doing streaming over the kids. Academically better kids go to A class. The school said that it is for better stretching of their potentials.
Sigh… I hope my girl will still enjoy going to school… And one more year it will be my boy’s turn… -
How do your kids find learning there so far?
-
Hi Qus, my girl is in this school since day 1 of the school. She loves to go to school and can mix well with teachers and kids there. There are good teachers but there are so so teachers as well. Some are easier to have the chemistry with the kids, ESP those who like to wear a friendly smile always. Some other teachers are cold faced so kids are likely to say they are fierce. This is from my observation during my volunteer work in the school.
Personally I really prefer a friendlier teacher. We have been in United States before we came here. The teachers there were so close and friendly and always looked positively in a kid. They dont just always smile, but also used to praise the kid over little things. Here in Singapore I found its different. My girl did quite well. Instead of praising her they just said don’t worry for her. Funny. I’d not worry at all. I think the culture is different. Those teachers can encourage kids are good teachers. And I hope by increasing the number of teachers in the coming year they can have more nice good teachers.
Just my feelings… -
Thanks Tamama. Hope my boy enjoys his P1 next year.
