My problem is with my SIL. Her EQ is so low she is the Asian version of the dumb blonde.

I just dont go to their house, giving the excuse that I have to go to the gym to work out.

i used to be more tolerant. but now i will do what is best for me and for my family.
why must i give in when no one’s giving in? why must i be unselfish when no one is?
if i don’t want something done, i will do it myself. for eg, if i don’t want my son to watch a certain cartoon and his cousin is, i will just switch off the tv or change channels and say that i don’t allow. the cousin dared to say his house doesn’t have that channel. I just told him that he can ask his parents to subscribe. If he wants to stay here, then he follows my rules. If not, he knows where the front door is.

Well said. I detest my bimbo SIL as well as all the aunties and uncles in law. I used to be diplomatic and visit them, sit there for hours like an idiot, smiling like an idiot and talking superficial topics.Sometimes I got so bored I fantasize I am at home watching National Geopraphic.
Now, I just said I’m not going. I got better things to do.

Told hubby his mother doesn't welcome daughter and family to stay there...his sister wants to be independent by washing family clothes herself but the mother is not used to her untidiness. Besides, when daughter comes back, the whole family sponges on parents :slapshead: staying there already free, then don't contribute to buy food :stupid: expect to be treated like royalty.

You know my ILs until now still mentally torturing us in regards to brand school. Really crazy people. Already told them can’t get into those schools and they still hounding us. It’s been a month +!!!

Looks like CNY next year will be more stressful with comparisons.

Mine here knows nuts about schools. All they do is call for money every now and then. Don't know how they spend and spend on what. At the rate they spend money like nobody's biz, it is crazy. Renting out a room is another way but old one refuses...saying she doesn't like.

Luckily mine doesn't call for $$$. They spend big time so we could never afford to pay for their big bills. Tell us must bring our kids for nice decent meals at top end restaurants. You know that kind that costs more than $100 per head place (that would mean around $500+ for 4 people for just 1 meal). Well, DH isn't even paid that kind of excess $$$ so how to live like that???

Then they label us as \"stingy\" ! :mad:

No need to wait till CNY to compare. Now I bet they are already feeling super lousy and desperate due to DS's choice of school. Well, we aren't going to transfer and that is it!

What can they do about grandson's choice of school? It's just for bragging rights if their grand kids are in elite schools.

2 days ago, hubby told me his father called him for money...but monthly allowance from 'biggest ATM' has already transferred to their account. What is the problem with them? They puff and drink as though the world is coming to an end anytime...but what they do not think is that, WHAT IF they don't go just like that??? :slapshead:
The best thing now is hubby finally knows his mother is no angel...he saw her true colours after 45 years...or should I say she couldn't hide after so long.
