Wait, so if you get the edusave letter saying that you get the top 10% in your cohort, does it mean top 10% in sg or just in your school…?

Actually I saw that thread. But my neighbour with score 251 was not offered Cat3. So I'm a little unsure......There was a thread in ksp right after the result was out, asking parents whose dc qualified for CAT 3 foreign language to state the dc psle marks. Only the top 10% qualified and the lowest mark that came in was 249.
Top 3% is 262, again derived in the same manner but using EESIS qualification.... -

Oh, ok. Thanks. That makes more sense now. Cuz my cousin who’s in another school got top 10% edusave and I got higher than her so I was just wondering.

Top 10% in PSLE will be offered Cat 3 3rd lang option. If you were offered Japanese, German or French, you would have been in the top 10% of PSLE cohort. -

[/quote]Top 10% should be 250 & above. I have not hear anyone gets 251 & not offered cat C. My boy gets 250 & he can opt for cat C, third language. Those who gets 249+1/2/3 can also opt for cat C, third language if he/she gets A for both English & MT.
