Hubs rented Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 on Mio and DD1 decided to watch it again before it's gone tomorrow since rental was for two days. Much to our  surprise... at the part where Hermione disguised herself as Mdm Strange to enter the vault, chubs quipped, \"...strange...\". We thought we heard wrong. Then, after she refused to identify herself, the little man looked up and said, \"Madam Strange..\" Chubs then repeated, \"Strange..\" and smiled.

In the bathroom during shower the last few days, he seemed to be repeating the names of the amphibians we covered using the Glenn Doman encyclopedic cards.
\"Goliath frog.. (pause) ..Glass frog.. (pause).. Red-eyed tree frog.. Eastern newt.\"

Time to pump more of Glenn you guys think?

Our kids should be 2 yrs by now, got some qns

            1. Do they sleep through the night or they still wake up for milk?

            - mine nap once a day for about 2 hours after lunch. Drinks some milk before bedtime… Sleeps from 930-730am… But he wakes at night around 1 or 3am at times…

            2. By this age are they suppose to be talking a lot? I heard boys are slower…

            - mine only says some words like mama, milk, raisins , xie xie, gai gai, things he likes etc… He uses point most of the time. He can understand just refuse to speak… How can I encourage him to speak more… I tried not to give him what he wants until he say but sometimes he ends up frustrated and gets angry

Bb still wakes up in the early mornings for comfort nursing. I know she's not hungry becos she eats regular meals with us.

As for speaking, she's slower than ds at the same age. Her words are precious :rotflmao: only mummy, papa, jie jie, go go (bro, forgot how to ping for dialect), car, ball, mine ( we speak mandarin so dunno why all the English words ) meow, yes sometimes she will say meow meow meow to substitute words. I console myself that she'd channeling her inner tigress :rotflmao: oh yes and whenever she sees Lego or hear the word M'sia she will shout jiejiego her version of Legoland :rotflmao: I think she will dance on the spot the day we ever visits the place LOL.

That's about it for her. Every other things she points or do her own sign language LOL.

I'm suppose to send her for chk-up if she's not more vocal soon. But I will see how when she's 3 yos. That was the age that I began to speak heehee

For children who eat full meals for the night plus milk, they can sleep through the night. For children who are naturally guai, they too sleep thru the night whether or not they take naps in the day. 😂 Once or twice wake up for comfort suckle, no biggie for me. I'm used to intermittent sleep and waking up more than once for all my babies before.

Chubs is my first boy. While i've always heard that people tend to label boys as slower speakers.. or if some more born on year-end will be lagi slow coachie.. it is not always true. Students i've taught boys AND girls alike have fair share of slower speakers and/or learners. While environment does play a part in support of early speech, at times it still depends highly on whether the child is ready to speak or not.

DD1 spoke clearly around 2.5yrs old.
                DD2 spoke between 3.5 to 4yrs old.
DS1 (my tiger_chubs) could say the word \"cat\" at 10mths followed by other animal names. Now at 23mths, he can speak almost clearly in proper sentences, some short and others may be longer like, \"I don't want Daddy, i wuv Mommy.\" :rotflmao: He's a cheeky fellow. Likes to kid around with us especially when he gets comic response from us. He can repeat after a few advertisements on TV like those condo ads... there's one i recall with the a song that ends with.... beautiful echo. 😂 Like SAHM_TAN's DD, i think my chubs will literally sing the entire song; True Colours, everyday... if we really move into that condo. :rotflmao: We read to him his favourite books everyday like Thomas Comes To Breakfast until he can memorize almost word for word. He's teaching us new things everyday. Never knew having boys were so much fun until chubs came into our lives.

my girl is 2.5 year old. Speaks well, can make phone conversation with us. Complain a lot about the older brother not practising his piano, watching too much TV. Really nosey.

She is the one that pick up the phone, I will ask her, did your brother study? What she ate for lunch?

But my girl still wears the pamper, she said she is not ready yet.

She sleeps through the night, last feed at 9pm.
