200 SMRT bus drivers refuse to go to work over pay issue
-

These drivers are the about in their 30s, that is the first generation of one child policy product. How do you know some of them are not from well off family? The gap between rich and poor is great, however, some of them just go overseas for experience, not merely pay. These PRC drivers if they are working in their own country, the accomodation is far worst than current Woodland dorm.
SMRT should not listen to them. Just give them as per it is. Take it or leave it. -

Ya boi! Tough question... Go for her or go for her grapes... :scratchhead: Hmmm?buds:
And oh.. she's also serious. Didn't even flinch when the monkey on the left went a wee berserk. I might have gone :rotflmao: there and then. Oh well, that's why I'm no scientist.

Ya boy! Wonder if the monkey breaks out, it'll go for her or the grapes!! -

Been to a PRC home recently? Unless the idea is to employ PRC drivers from really ulu parts of rural China, the image in your mind of the PRC home is seriously obsolete. These PRC drivers if they are working in their own country, the accomodation is far worst than current Woodland dorm.

Good point. Now it seems to be the only excuse/explanation for the salary disparity from SMRT. But that is is misleading because it does not explain the difference in bonus neither the salary increment. The latest SMRT CEO's address to PRC drivers does not tell the truth.
Same job.. same pay.. what is so difficult.bupashu:
One thing for sure - when u have different nationalities of drastic differences in background & culture doing the same job at the same place - you need very savvy HR people to communicate and balance the expectations in an internet linked world, you need to act fairly and to be seen to act fairly
As for the additional costs for the PRC, just deduct from the salaries.. everything hence is transparent and self explanatory.. why create an opportunity for troublemakers to cook up a storm..? -
Honestly... abit late to say anything now.
No thank you. :dowan:
What's happened already happened. Learning experience mah.
Thankfully we had ICA, MOM and our men in blue. :grphug:
May this serve as a deterrent... :nunchuk:
Wo men bu si hao chi fu de. :torchme:
We welcome if FTs are here to make honest livings. :grphug:
But if they're here to create mayhem.. we don't need them. -

yup. if don't like, they should quit en masse, not strike. that is smarter and totally legal, and more bargaining power. These PRC drivers if they are working in their own country, the accomodation is far worst than current Woodland dorm.
SMRT should not listen to them. Just give them as per it is. Take it or leave it. -
buds:
agree. we need ft just as they need us, but we must not let them think they are the boss.Honestly... abit late to say anything now.

In today world? that won't work. People are much aware of their rights and, the information is no longer so easy to be shut down. Aiyo, even monkey knows that doing the same job gets the same pay, how can blame those PRC drivers, just part of nature instinct.ruohoo97:
Wow, that is so good. What don't SMRT management view it?
Not useful. Management will just say that the problem started because the monkey on the right was able to see that the other monkey was getting better benefits. So the solution is simply to make it a rule for everyone not to divulge their increments... and grades.
