Actually I heard from a chinese cleaner about her living arrangements. 6 pp share 1 room. Each pay the landlord $250 (thereabouts). I dunno about aircon. it's hdb flat btw (but I don't know which unit/block exactly). Amazing!

      Sorry :offtopic:

It is against HDB regulation.. HDB only allow 4 pax max per room.

Oh is it? But it's pretty common - to have many ppl sharing a room. My neighbor rent out their spare rooms. Not sure how many room but there are certainly at least 5 men walking in and out everyday.

Honestly I don't feel safe knowing that there are so many tenants inside there. especially with only my little one and me at home.

But I have to say they are always polite to my son and me.

if you suspect your neighbour rented out and there are so many tenants , can complain to hdb.

now HK people also want to ‘join’ the fun in protesting. They were the one who called mainland people ‘pests’. Now they demand SG govt to release the jailed driver.

My mom rents out the spare room in her 3-rm flat for S$400+ and it's near MRT and big mall, so very convenient. But yes, no aircon, no internet, no heater. So if 2 persons share that room, each one around S$200-S$250, lor.

Wow can still get $400 rental. :yikes:

$400 rental per month - is it master bedroom, or normal bedroom ?[/quote]It's not the master bedroom. My mom stays in that. It's the spare bedroom. Location is good lor. Very convenient by bus/mrt/amenities/shopping.

I know that we could complain to hdb about the overcrowding next door. But I am not doing that yet. Because, the Chinese men have been polite so far. They are not causing problem - drinking, smoking, talking very loudly etc. They don’t stare at you until you feel awkward or come so close to you etc. But I will not hesitate to call hdbshould there be a day when I feel that our safety is threathened. We have a security camera installed at the recess area. Anything around our main gate and that neughbour’s unit is captured.

I know of another neighbor who is subletting his unit to another group of chinese men. Heng that group is living on another floor… I don’t like that group. They intimidate me. The thing I hate most is taking the same lift at them! Within a small enclosed space with 4/5 men, and there are only my kid and me…

Er… But hor, dont get me wrong - I am not those who against foreign workers at all instances and at all cost. I like most of my kid’s Chinese teachers and e Chinese cleaners at my office.

So is SMRT moving the drivers to hdb flats? Any pay adjustment in the aftermath of strike?

As one person in the Yahoo! news commented: this is \"unavoidable\". :censored:

Hongkongers did protest near Singapore consular office there. So, what is next?
