I don't think Skyed was being disrespectful to easygoingmummy. She was making reference to easygoingmummy's mention of no option of choosing girls' schools for her daughter. Don't be so hard on a child lah.

i’m in chung cheng main and i think in comparison anglican is better. but is the school vry religious? since they are a christian sch is it?

It is a matter of preference.

I dont see anything wrong with the reply taken as a whole. People should be informed as much as possible, not just re-assurance, especially as theres still the possibility of appeal.

I disagree with the latter; if that is so then the other half of candidates will \"fail\" their exams. It is as good as assuming 1/2 of Singapore's P6 children are idiots.

'that's quite a shame' is not necessarily a statement for putting others down. It can be used to mean 'it's quite a pity', referring to the multiple choices of good girls' schools. But for easygoingmummy, there's no loss since her daughter doesn't want girls' schools.

Generally, girls' schools are better, compared to mixed schools, and I'm sure most people would agree. I am sure easygoing mummy knows that too, just that for her daughter, mixed schools are the preference and Anglican High is a good choice for a mixed schools.

Some people really ought to be whacked. They ask you what school you choose and then tell you 'Aiya, you so stupid. You should choose this and that school mah!\" I know of someone whose son got 210+ and chose an average neighbourhood school. The mother's friend told her,\"aiya, why you so stupid. You should opt for normal stream for him to go to a better school mah.\" For such people, they really should mind their own business because they don't even know what they are talking about! But the friend's remark made the mother worry that she had made the wrong school choice.
