      Plse help

      1) The material needed to make a jacket is 120% of that used to make a pair of trouser, If 0,5m more was used to make 2 similar jackets than a pair of trousers, how many metres of clothes were used to make 5 jacket?

        material needed for
        1 pair of Trousers --> 10u
        1 jacket --> 12u
        2 jackets --> 24u

        0.5m more used to make 2 jackets than a pair of trousers, so
        24u - 10u = 14u
        14u --> 0.5m
        2u --> 1/14 m

        5 jackets --> 60u --> 30 x 1/14m = 2 1/7 m

        cheers.

                treat the mass of the tin and iron nails as separate items...

                1/2 = 4/8

                      BD = AC = AE = 2y cm

                      cheers.
