      Jug X and Jug Y contain different amounts of water at first. 50% of water in Jug X was poured into Jug Y, Then 40% of water in Jug Y was poured into Jug X. The final amunt of water in Jug X to Jug Y was 7:6

      a) what wa the ratio of the amount of water in Jug X to Jug Y at first
      b) if there were 10 litres of water in Jug X at first, how much water was there in Jug X at the end.

      1) At a party, there were some ballons, 25 ballon burst & 10% of remaining ballons fly away. If only 60% of the ballons were left, how many ballons were there at first?


      2) Pkt A, B and C each contained some cement. 1/3 of cement was transferred from Pkt A to B. Then 1/3 of the cement transfer from Pkt B to C. Finally, 1/3 of cement transferred from Pkt C to A. In the end, there were 12kg of cement in each pkt. Whar was the mass of cement in Pkt B at first?

      3) A fan club had 150 member last yr. This yr, the no of male member reduced by 20% and number of female member increas by 20%. As a result, there are now as man male member as female members. How many memebers does the club have this year?

      Jason, Edward and Sam had total $837. Jason had the least amont of money. Ratio of Edward money to Sam money was 4:3 at first. Jason and edward spent 1/3 of their money. Given that the 3 boys had $648 left, how much did Jason have at first? :?

      1) Dan harvested some apples. He sold to Adam 3/4 of the apples and another 105 apples. He sold to Geradine 3/4 of the remainder but took back 55 apples. Dan had 890 apples left.


      a) How many apples did Geradine have after returning 55 apples to Dan
      b) How many apples did Farmer Dan harvest?

      2) Tank X and Y are each filled with some water. If water from tank Y is poured into Tank X until water in tank X reaches the brim, there will be 8L of water left in Tank Y, If water from Tank X is poured into Tank Y until water in Tank Y reach the brim, there will be 26L of water leftt in Tank X. The ratio of volume of of Tank X to Taank Y is 5 : 3. How many more litres of water are needed to fill both tanks to their brim?

      3)A florist had total 272 roses and lilies in ratio of 12:5. After selling away twice as many roses as Lilies, the ratio of roses to Lilies was 5:2. How many roses did she shell?

      Fazillah, Linda and Winnie each owned a collection of comics. The total collection owned by Linda and Winnie was 3/2 as many comics as Fazillah owned. Linda owned 4/5 as many comics as the total collection owned by fazillah and Winnie. If Winnie owned 169 fewer comics then Linda, how many comics must Fazillah and Linda each give to Winnie in order for the three :? gilrs to have same number of comics?
