All About Full-Time Maids

Actually I don't checked my Maid's bag out of respect for her privacy. But I guess you will never know.hi
i found my gold ring inside my maid bag. What should I do? Her contract end next month and she has weekly off day. -
she has been with me for almost 2 years and i give her full trust until recently we came back from holiday i noticed that she hasn’t been honest.
-
That’s why I always treat maid as an employee. Never a family member! This means I don’t trust them completely regardless how long they work for me.

What did you do? Does your maid know you found the ring?hi

I'd arrange for her flight home today. Before send-off, will check her bags etc thoroughly. If hubby or a male friend cannot help, will pay for someone to escort her to airport... Just in case she becomes difficult. To me, no point having her around if I can't trust her....I have zero tolerance to theft.
Then will write to MOM to inform with the hope that they will blacklist her. Wouldn't want another employer to be her next victim. However, not sure whether MOM will blacklist without a police report nowadays. -
I did not confront her. Now i am lost, i do not know what to do.
-
Send her back. No need to talk further with her. Don’t recycle her to other employers.

My hubby is out of town and i have kids at home. So got to bear with her till hubby returns.

concern_mum,
Pretend nothing is happening while you map out your steps first:
1) lock all valuables and money, or put into those safes in deposit boxes. when you sleep, keep ur wallet/bag in ur room.
2) keep her passport and workpermit elsewhere first, just in case.
3) make sure your arrangement for alternative care for kids is taken care after maid is gone. eg. apply leave/get help from parents etc
4) don't tell the kids, you never know what kids will blurt out
5) text and discuss with ur hubby on what to do too
6) make police report
7) call agent, seek advise, buy tickets send her off (if ur agent can be trusted and depends on what the police advise?)
Don't forget to check her bags when she leaves.
just some steps that i can think if i am in your shoes. all the best! :xedfingers: -
thank you very much. I think that is the best way for now.

hi, i have bought the airticket for my maid to go back on Sunday. Does anybody know of any agency that can help to send her to the airport. My hubby will not be back so soon so i am alone handling her.
