Just discovered this beautiful piece - Requiem for a Dream. It started slow and gradually built up to faster and more intense pace, then ended slow again. Awesome!

Wish I could learn to play this piece some day.

Shervel & Morgan Lee were great playing The Entertainer. Just curious, what grades are they currently on? My son is preparing for a short recital next month, just 2 songs but much simpler than that.

Btw, do you take in requests? πŸ˜‚ If it's not asking too much, can record The Last Waltz? I love the arpeggios in that song.

Victor Lee's Melodies of Life from Final Fantasy is also beautiful. Waiting for that day my son can play like that. Then everyday he must play me to sleep as part of room rental.

Shervel and Morgan both have passed grade 5 ABRSM with distinctions. They are currently preparing to take Trinity's Intermediate Performance Certificate which is equivalent to around grade 6/7 ish.

You need to be more specific. I just typed The Last Waltz into google and there are way too many different results. If you can give me a link I may have a better idea. I am alway happy to play nice sounding pieces for my audience.

That piece is indeed very beautiful and it has been a mainstay of my repertoire for years as well. Anyway, I have another smaller concert lined up in January and he's playing it again. Feel free to drop by and see.

I'm sorry I don't really know which version I heard. Someone play live for me [from memory] on a C Bechstein and I simply fell in love with the sound. Is it ok if you choose based on your preference? I only recalled it sounded like a sentimental Chinese song. Slow-paced.

                  Thanks. Looking forward to it.

Sure. Just to check, is it this waltz by chopin?

Nope, the one I liked was more oldie than classical. It's below. Paiseh to trouble you when I can't even point you to the correct music score. Having some problem embedding the youtube image, might be due to the multiple \"=\" sign in the url.

It's an old but beautiful song.

I don't think there is an official piano arrangement for this one, so most likely the version you heard got added self flourish by whoever played it. It is a nice song, I will take note of it and see if I can come up with a decent arrangement of it in the future.
