Hi Julialai,

Would appreciate the science tutor's contact. Thanks.
Hi catching star, I thought your child attended a science enrichment centre which she is comfortable?

Hope you will understand that my rate will vary according to different levels and locations. Rest assured that my teaching will be very helpful and beneficial for your child. Thanks!

I also have a tutor that I would like to recommend if you guys are interested. Both DS did very well under her. My elder DS got A* for his PSLE and younger son scored band 1 for last SA2.

But she is in the east side, tampines simei area. If don mind the distance, PM me. 😃 She was featured in the newspaper and magazines. Owner of the centre and teach by herself, my nieces and nephews also go over to her centre. The best thing is they have hands on experiment which both my DS love…

I know of a really good tutor from tuition centre @ Holland area. She's one of the best kept secrets, many high ability kids under her in my DS's school but parents kiasu or selfish, don't want to recommend. Slowly one by one quit own tuition and switch to her. After I sent my son to her, I see why the kids love her, very inspiring. Can pm u if you don't mind the travel.

Why so selfish? I am very willing to share my tutor.
Competitive lah. My DS's P4 form-teacher recommended her to us when my DS's Science score plunged in P5 SA1. 😓 When I took my son to the centre for tuition for the first time, I was very surprised to see a number of the high ability kids from his school there. I met a mother whom I had met briefly in DS's school. She told me not to recommend to people from the same school as our DC. It was really not that surprising she said that. Her kid is from GEP and she is always asking about other people's kids' exam marks. A highly competitive mother :slapshead:
:yikes:
I know of many parents who do not like to recommend their tutors (if the tutor is good) to others. They will only recommend to parents after their kids have completed eg. PSLE.

I also know of parents who hide the fact that their children go to xxx tutor/ attending tuition centre 😞

even those top of the class can also be kiasu.

my friend whose son P3 in a neighbourhood school this year told me this ...
during PMT (parents meet teacher session in June), the mother of this top boy in her son's P3 class ran after her quickly and asked, \"Mrs Chan, so which enrichment or tuition classes did your son attend, huh ? \"

                      my friend was quite irritated.
She told me, \"by right i should be asking her this qn where she send her son to - since her son is Top in class whereas mine only #3 in class. Anyway I didn't bother to reply her, just said that i'm busy and walked off after the PMT session.\" She said this kiasu mother is not Singaporean (foreigner), and she also asked the same qn to #2 boy's mum in the same class. (bec #2 quite close to my friend) Apparently, she asked because she was afraid that #2 or #3 (ie. my friend's son) one day may catch up with her son and replaced her son's #1 position in class.

I also met parents like that before too. My son top his class for science and some parents even called me to ask for the tutor's number. cause only 15 people passed for science and my son still can get 85.5. I just tell them who the tutor was. No point hiding, I believe in sharing. 😃
