Appeal Secondary One Posting

Just curious, tomorrow when we go to the secondary schools, are the students supposed to wear their primary school uniform or home-clothes?

Preferably primary school uniforms, but if already given away, it is also ok to go in home-clothes. I supposed it is always better to be not too sloppy as it is first impression created to their classmates and teachers. -
Does anyone know how long will it take for the registration tomorrow?

Be prepared about half day or a little more, depending on how fast you are in getting uniforms and books. Usually will have welcome speech, meet classmates, school tour, fill up forms and then get the textbooks and uniforms. -

Thanks for the info. Dun plan to get uniform and books, as I plan to appeal.pchong:

Pen88n, you are absolutely right. That was my experience. DD with T-score which is the same as the school's COP was not successful in her appeal last year. The entire \"appeal\" experience was distressing as the school provided v little info and we did not know where we stand in terms of the chance of success.
Pen88n:
For parents of kids who are appealing, please note the following:
The COP only meant the last student who was posted into that school was at that T-score. It does not mean all with the same T-score will get into that school. Please note that last year for some schools, there were students with the same COP as that stated by the school / MOE who appeal and did not get in either. And I am not talking about those students who already had DSA offers who would definitely be outright rejected by the school based on MOE policy.
Not trying to \"pour cold water\", but rather to state a fact so parents / kids who are appealing to schools are aware there are such situation. It is always better to emphasize to the kid that appeal is just a hope at this moment. The reality is the school you are posted to, so you should put in the effort to learn about the school that you are posted to on the registration day (and learn to like it too!). If the hope becomes a reality, good for you. Otherwise, you have at least learn to like the school you are posted to. -
Any chance of appeal when we miss all 6 choices?? my dd posted to nearby school, can we appeal for another school??

Hi,
checking this on behalf of my cousin. She has appeal to another school & understand that her daughter has to report to the assigned sec school tmr. Does she needs to inform the assigned school that she’s appealing to another school?
Thanks in advance. -

No. Only upon successful appeal that she will need to bring the acceptance form from the successful school to the assigned school to sign for release.Hi,
