I'm in a different sch but in my sch for home econs we just cook... Our grade based on each weeks cooking result + one final piece where we have to come up with and prepare a healthy meal... Can't remember how the grading was for art and music, never cared about them hahaha.

I find it quite sufficient since there is just enough for me to buy necessary stationery in addition to having enough for recess and lunch. I would recommend around $3.50 to $4 per break - it's just the right amount for me.

My son gets abt $20 a week (not incl. ez-link top-up). He says it is sufficient as he only spends on lunch and he doesn’t eat very much. If there’s no need to stay back, he’ll have lunch at home.

My girl who’s starting Sec1, will prob be getting less. Maybe $15 since she only needs to spend for recess. On days that she needs to stay back, she requested that I ‘ta-pau’ (pack) food fm home. I wonder if she’ll change her mind later when she sees that she’s the odd-one-out.

                    Hello.

In P6, I got $2 for days that I don't stay back and $4 for days that I stay back. I had to stay back very often about 4 out of 5 days so that makes it about $18 per week. That amount was more than sufficient, I could still save at least $5 per week. Slowly, that $5 every week adds up and I use them for stationaries / occasional outings with my friends. ^^

I don't usually eat a lot in school as I prefer home cooked food ( the rice I eat at home is like 3 times more 😓 ), so I just eat the required amount for me to not be hungry. I understand that the food in Secondary will be more expensive, but anything more than $6 dollars per day ( recess + lunch ) will be considered too much in my opinion. 😓

Personally, I feel that if you don't eat a lot ( and you don't spend on drinks often ), $5 per day should be enough. ( not including transport )

( Yes, sometimes food is quite tempting  , but I know that I'm already full, anymore and I'll be overspending. )

Son just started Math tuition yesterday...preparation for Sec 1...all those once familiar stuff like LCF and whole numbers...all returned to the teacher

He is positive and ready to move on. I am happy and relieved.
