ACS(I) IB COP is 256 (called sch)

Mine got 256 but did not get in. Perhaps because not Singaporean

The t-score goes to several decimal places. So even though 2 with same integer t-score, are actually different in MOE database. Suggest you appeal. I know of those who were originally rejected (right on COP, even 1 lower) but made it on appeal. There's still movement after the posting results.
Thanks for info. I don't intend to appeal. What will be, will be. It is God's will.
Dunman high COP is not 255.

My dd has 256 (254 +2) for higher chinese but got posted to TJC instead.
Now gotto appeal to DHS cause all her clique going there.

I actually expected TJC COP to be higher.

I am also surprised at TJC's COP, considering that there were only 75 places left after 75 places were taken up for DSA.

I think not many ppl aware of TJC offering IP next year. And not many dare to be the first batch of new ip program
TJC is more established espcially since already have an IP programme for Sec 3 students and have a proven track record for JC. Much better than unknowns like SCGS, SNGS and CHS where they have no IP experience at all and will go on to form a brand new JC which will have many teething problems. Ironically COP for these 3 schools is higher than TJC. I believe got to do more with location as TJC is not as centrally located as the other 3.

The increase in the COP of those ‘top’ schools is consequece of the dragon year.

Based on the formula, 250 is the benchmark for the top 10% candidates. Last year, there were 45261 candidates, but this number has increased to 48333 this year, which means there are 300+ more candidates who have scored 250+ this year. As there is no significant increase in the vacancies in those ‘top’ schools, their COPs certainly go up.

              Hi,

Can anyone advice what is the COP for Hua Yi Secondary school for 2013 intake?

My DS posted to the school as 2nd choice…missed Jurong Secondary school by 2 points…

              Thanks in advance.

                Hi,

DD scored 244 but was not posted to Crescent. Thinking of appealing too 😞

Reminder to parents to bring enough cash to buy books and uniform at the school.

I tried filing appeal for DD last year. Her T-score is the COP for the school so I was hopeful at first. However, her appeal was not successful. According to the school, they can only take in a student if another student transfers out and there was v little student movement last year (perhaps 1 or 2). Waiting for the result of the appeal is v unsettling for both parents and child.

There are cases of students filing appeal to transfer to a school with COP lower than their T-score. Such appeal cases tend to have a much higher chance of success.

I think it may be 222 or 221 as last year it was 220

The COP went up for top schools because of the additional dragon year candidates and these schools not increasing their enrolment. Some schools where the enrolment was increased (decided by MOE) to cater for the additional candidates saw their COP decreasing slightly. I believe the 'top\" schools have more leeway in deciding their enrolments with MOE being more flexible with them or they could have made a strong case not to have their enrolments increased due to limited infrastructure. Next year the COP for these top schools will come down again to previous levels.
