My dd score 238 + 1. However, CCHS is not one of her six choices. Can she appeal?

          kwcllf:
They are not in S1Posting. They will only know when all their students that were admitted via DSA and direct application after release of PSLE results, and then tally them to get average T Score.

          Sorry, very new here.

What did you mean by NUSH \"not in S1 Posting\"? :scratchhead:

They do not admit students thru MOE S1 Posting. They admit students via their own selection.

Checking on behalf of a friend: Does anyone know how many appealing to SJI this year? And based on past years, what is the average number of successful appeal cases each year?

              TIA.

                Thank you for your clarification.

May I know is this the first year NUSH admits students through its own selection? I recall someone mentioned the COP for NUSH last year.

qms, NUSH doesn't participate in the MOE S1 posting exercise. They run their own admission exercise as kwcllf said, meaning students need to submit application to NUSH directly (not through S1 6 choices). There is still COP based on the students that were admitted into NUSH successully. If I remember correctly, NUSH 2011 cop was 261.

I think not many ppl aware of TJC offering IP next year. And not many dare to be the first batch of new ip program

TJC is more established espcially since already have an IP programme for Sec 3 students and have a proven track record for JC. Much better than unknowns like SCGS, SNGS and CHS where they have no IP experience at all and will go on to form a brand new JC which will have many teething problems. Ironically COP for these 3 schools is higher than TJC. I believe got to do more with location as TJC is not as centrally located as the other 3.

Actually if you look at it, the new JC will have students feeding in from 3 top schools in singapore ( CHS, St Nicks, SCGS). It will no doubt be one of the top JCs that will be highly sought after as the cohorts' quality is at least equal or better than that for Cedar/Victoria which feeds into VJC.

Knowing how competitive getting into top JCs nowadays, getting into the IP program for CHS, St Nicks, SCGS gurantees the students into a JC, that no doubt will establish itself as one of the top in Singapore.
