      Hi All,

Can I check on the CCA for BTPS. It seems for P1, P2 not available (unless they have older sibling then eligible), if not the start of CCA will be in P3? Thks.

Also, will they be prompted by their teachers to join? Or they have to approach relavant teacher-in-charge? Thks.

        Urm..
Unless It is band that your child is joining, even if your child have any older siblings, he/she can only join a CCA after primary 2.
        I hope I have solved your queries ๐Ÿ˜„ ๐Ÿ˜„ ๐Ÿ˜‚ ๐Ÿ˜“

My boy joined choir when he was in P2. Some of his P2 classmates joined other CCAs like band, library etc. CCAs are compulsory from P3 onwards, I think.

Top PSLE score - know it is a bit late to post this. I was also very keen to know this. There was a discussion in another thread and someone posted that a girl from BTPS scored 277, though both the school and the newspaper did not reveal her actual score.

That is strange. Thought I saw those ppt slides on the school website before this yearโ€™s PSLE as I posted in this thread that the best PSLE score was 26 something. [scratch head]?

I guess may be one reason for low score for malay or chinese partly is these r not their โ€˜spokenโ€™ mother tongue for some students.

Yet i know few foreign students In my girl class score well in chinese with extra tuition/enrichment since young.

Agree that quality of chinese teacher r not equally the same.
                    Some extra help are needed.

Oh I know. phttph posted link for 2011 PSLE. Is there one for 2012? :scratchhead:

But I do agree that MTL results generally can be better.

The students need to read more. DS Chinese was ok in P1 but in P2 it dropped drastically. I had to send him for CL tuition and he has improved, but his reading in EL is way above his non-existent reading in CL

He has a Indonesian classmate in his CL class who does not speak CL at home at all (parents do not speak CL) but still manage to do well in CL - also had extra help and he works hard (compared to my boy).

During P3, Chinese teacher has prepared some extra materials (Eg: oral notes, phrases for compo as spelling, extra words/terms beside text book lists) beside school text book, my DD did not prepare for that (me too!)

A bit stress for her at first half year.

May be P2 is a too happy for her since not much exam and homework vs p3.
