Let me reply some of your queries:
-We usually use the books we are supposed to buy, except for Home Econs. For me, this book has never been touched. Thus, I think you shouldn't buy this book unless the Home Ec teacher says that it is needed.
-I'm not sure of the bus providers, but there should be a list of bus providers in the Sec 1 Registration folder
-Yes, the boarding school is open at any time of the year. By the way, Sec 2 students will be going for the Boarding School Experience which lasts for a month. All Sec 2 students will have to stay in the boarding school (which I'm looking forward to!)
-I'm not too sure about Nanyang Outdoors, but I think it should be open to Sec 1s too.
