My dd and I stay in the Lakeshore condo beside Lakeside MRT (Jurong West). Any parent can help pick her up and drive her to school in the morning? I’m trying to buy a car and after I manage to, we can take turns to drive the children to school.

Simply Me:
Hi, everyone. My DD will be joining RGS next year. We are staying at Bedok and would like to look for buddies who are willing to share a cab to school every morning. We were thinking of getting a cab driver who could pick 3 to 4 girls at a fixed fee per month. It may cost a little more than school bus, but we don't have to pay during school holidays and most importantly, our DD can wake up later in the morning.
Hi, any takers so far? I'm interested too. -

Did your dd get 275 for PSLE? :scared:

Thank you kaeshion for your detailed explanation on the CCAs.tinkfirst:
Hi, may I know does joining uniform groups earn more points? Also do the students need to go back to school on Saturdays for their CCA esp the UG? TIA
Yes joining uniform groups will earn you more CCA points. And it depends on what CCA you're joining. If you're joining Sports or Performing Arts, then yeah you probably have to, especially if it's during competition season or there's an upcoming performance/SYF. UG not that much I guess, unless there are certain events and stuff. Club & Society, no probably not, I think. -

So far, how reliable has the Mac been? Does one need to constantly \"run\" to the helpdesk to ask for help? In case of breakdown, does vendor try to resolve the problem asap since the Mac is needed most of the time?
Also, is the Mac Air sluggish as comapred to the Pro? I'm asking coz still deciding between the Air and Retina Pro (but pro is aboyt 300g heavier).
Thank you for any advice!
I am also interested to know how often in your x number of years there do you have to run to the in house help desk and for what reasons. TIA -
Can any Seniors with 13-inch MacBook please help to feedback if you do all your work entirely on your laptop or do you switch to your home PC and link it to your laptop somehow?

>B) According to the one I got this year, not sure if there were any changes, the Microsoft Office that is 82 bucks (?) is an optional purchase that comes with the packages for MacBook Air/Pro so I don’t think you will be able to buy it at the same price.
Yes, when I checked outside, the MS Office costs a lot more. Hmm, wondering if I can a classmate who is getting from Sapura to order one extra copy as outside’s price is about S$200 cheaper for the Macbooks -

If parents are worried about safety, we will be hiring a specific driver, so we will have his contact. And if you are concerned with reliability, I know of RGS school bus driver who did not turn up in the morning, and parents got to rush their DD to school. No refund was made!Simply Me:

The cost per trip should be around $20. If we have 4 girls, the cost is not very much higher than school bus, not forgetting that we don't have to pay for school holidays (while school buses charge 12 months!). Think about it. -

Merry Christmas
I'm using a 13-inch MacBook Pro and I do all my work entirely on my Mac even though I have a home PC and another Asus Windows laptop. It's preferable to do all your work on the Mac so that you dont have to transfer your fies here and there using thumbdrive/email etc. Also many of our project work makes use of Mac Apps such as GarageBand and iMovie. And I don't see why you shouldn't! Unless you want a bigger monitor screen, but you can always get the cable to connect to the huge monitor
